Congratulations February .22 Smallbore Rifle winners! Great work to those of you who advanced your position on the League of Champions leaderboard this month. At the end of this month, the top shooter in each discipline will automatically be awarded Spring Champion in that match. Here are some of this month’s .22 rifle match highlights:
Precision Smallbore Prone & Irons Only Prone
Curtis Turner's idyllic 599 44x in Precision Smallbore Prone from January clings to the top spot of the League of Campions leaderboard. Hap Rocketto is our best shooter for the month of February. He matched his January score of 595, improving on his X count from 38 to 44. Jean-Pierre Giacomelli shot a 588 35x putting him in second for February and moving him up the leaderboard to third. Kathy Konek tied Ernie Mellor's January performance of 586 but beats him on X's 33 to 30 giving her the fourth spot on the League of Champions leaderboard. In the new Irons Only Prone match, Tristan Grisham shoots 551 16x. He is also our only junior prone shooter, so far.
Precision Smallbore Rifle 3P
Curtis Turner's 569 25x remains the score to beat in Precision Smallbore Rifle 3P. Kennadi Barker added 22 points to her January score to come in at 554 11x in February. Nice shooting Kennadi! Matt Haggstrom shoots a 532 7x in February to claim the third spot on the leaderboard.
Precision Smallbore Rifle 3P Irons Only
It was an amazing finish for the February Precision Smallbore Rifle 3P Irons Only match. Kennadi Barker and Matt Haggstrom scored the exact same score of 530 and the exact same X count of 8! Matt broke the tie with his last standing target, shooting just two points higher than Kennadi. Wow that was close! Hugh Sheldon keeps his stop spot on the leaderboard with a 550 and Tristan Grisham adds 5 points to his prior score, shooting a 520 10x.
Precision Smallbore Rifle 4P & Irons Only Smallbore Rifle 4P
Matt Haggstrom returns in February, shooting two points better, with a 772 24x in Precision Smallbore Rifle 4P, but it's not enough to reach Curtis Turner's 789 56x shot in January. Kennadi Barker is on the board coming in with a 751 25x. In the new Irons Only Smallbore Rifle 4P, Matt shot a 769 39x for the top spot followed by Tristan Grisham with a 751 25x.
