Progressive Weekly Wank is just Content Creation

Interesting article here, if you can get past the insipid 'alt lit' writing style.  Essentially it argues that the Yuppie Left-media comment/criticism-two minutes hate cycle is simply media content creation for click dollar blog farms.  That is, it is essentially outside of the realm of the political in that the endgame is courting controversy and initiating views/comments/flame wars which of course is the source of said click dollar.  While this is ostensibly about the reality of the digital economy trumping ideology, it is important to consider those demographics which are taken in by this ruse. 

To utilize the netstream vs. mainstream dichotomy of the article, we see the former is represented by urban-dwelling professionals who work primarily in marketing, media, and academic positions versus the latter who are clearly too expansive to summarize.  The former exist culturally within a bubble whereby their views are reinforced through an entertainment-media-commentary-criticism complex that feeds their innate narcissism (read Lasch for the full view) and dictates that they're on the cusp of the zeitgeist.  They then affix themselves in opposition to the mainstream in the same manner as the 20th century avant-gardes despite the fact that the mainstream is wholly amorphous and largely susceptible to the same progressive mores as the netstream, though they adopt such mores at a more cautious pace.

As such, this culture war is totally false.  One side sees itself as a radical avant-garde of cutting edge criticism despite being fed content by entertainment media marketing hacks and click dollar blog farms dependent on advertising revenue while the other side is largely unaware that it's the face of staid reaction.  Indeed, it's likely that sectors of the mainstream simply see  progressive media snark as something they can't afford as of yet, that is, it's a luxury of a managerial class whose perks include more leisure time to peruse such content on the job.

Is this zine/label/non-scalable medium #auth? Is it real art? Is DIY #auth or is it a scalable medium? Is our audience primarily #netstreamers, cuz it ain't #mainstream. Are we not #auth cuz were on a scalable social media/um aka tumblr?

I believe all ‘culture websites’ on the internet are NETSTREAM. They are dependent upon widely consumed topics of internet audiences ... Understand that the world that netstreamers interpret on the web is not actually determined by ‘what people should be interested in.’ Instead, ‘media companies’ are dependent upon ‘artists’ and ‘personalities/companies with large social media reach.’ The netstream world has made online media companies nothing more than a weird biz model where they are generating advertisements for ‘basically everything.’

デフォルトで用意されているNetStream.Play.Stopってのがアホやから、

動画総合時間と現在の再生時間を比較して終了判定するのがいいみたい。

でも、これでも若干ずれが発生するので、0.15秒くらいは余裕みた方がいいらしい。って調べたらいっぱいでてきた。
