I'm really emotional rn, so bear with my rant.

Thank you She Ra. just, thank you.

thank you for the queer representation, and a world where queer peoples story arch isn't just overcoming lgbtq+phobia. thank you for a world where we aren't controversial, we just exist.

thank you for the fully formed characters,with varying body types and character designs, with beautiful character arks that feel well built and full of empathy.

thank you for showing characters who are flawed, but still chose good, still chose to help others.

thank you for showing the importance of not only giving love, but accepting love, and how not accepting love is just as destructive as not giving love.

thank you for showing abusive parents as what they are, and not just a flawed parents who made some mistakes but love there kids, and not giving the abuser a redemption ark other than sacrifice.

thank you for showing the impact of abusive realtionships on the victims, and how there are different kinds of abuse, none of which cause pain that is invalid, or cause less damage to the victim.

thank you for showing that people can be self destructive in different ways, all of which should be taken seriously and with empathy and compassion.

thank you for showing colonizers as villains and teaching about the importance of restoring what has been damaged.

thank you for giving kids a show that teaches them about love, and compassion and empathy, that queer people exist, that there is life away from your abuser, that people can be flawed, that redemption takes work, thar trust is earned, that people are different, but that doesn't make it so bonds can't be formed, and I could go on, but I think I've said enough already.

Thank you She Ra, for being there for kids like me, and giving them something that I never got. thank you for being that. this is a show that I will probably never fully get over, but that has meant so much to me, and has helped me process things I needed to process. so thank you, thank you so much.
