honestly all their dynamics would be interesting

neuvifuri - this is the most obvious. neuvifuri is already a popular ship on it's own and it's not hard to see why. they were friends and co-rulers for 500 years. on top of that neuvillette clearly cares alot about her + a bunch of other stuff plus the fact that their depicted together pretty much constantly

furidain - the archon + person who hates them dynamic is interesting. but there's also the fact that furina wasnt one at all but it was only revealed recently. i think they could become friends after he finds out about that. both humans cursed with immortality for a long time. both had their countries suffer celestia's wrath but furina was able to succeed where dainsleif failed.

neuvidain - both actively hold a grudge against celestia and the archons, with neuvillette also hating them for the way they killed the dragons and took their power. sovereign + khaenrian is such an interesting dynamic. same thing with furidain about their countries suffering celestia's wrath. human who feels closer to inhuman + inhuman who feels closer to human. plus i think unlike furina there's nothing stopping them from becoming friends pre-canon

rlly quick thought abt neuvifuridain i love them all dating but another very funny potential dynamic is neuvilette and furina as a married couple and this one guy who they just will NOT stop hooking up with. clorinde left baffled at their expense.

been getting back into TV girl recently 🦇

had a silly but also slightly angsty neuvidain fic idea

could either be before or after the fontaine archon quest. but dain gets like, really hurt or smthn and neuvillette is there (either they were doing something together or he sensed something was wrong and rushed to his side) and dain has like, possibly a deathly injury (i mean the game is vague on what happens if cursed khaenrians are killed since they cant really die so im just going with he gets revived a few seconds after death) but he's in alot of pain

and neuvillette is panicking cause he hates seeing dain in so much distress and agony so he does some handwavy dragon magic and like. ties their fucking souls together or whatver to ease the effects of the curse (either purposefully or on accident) and this is like. magical marriage to dragons. so they basically just had a magical shotgun wedding.

afterwards he realizes what he's done and is like. Hm. Perhaps I shouldn't have done that. and dain wakes up like "huh. im in alot less pain then i thought i would be. actually im in alot less pain than i am on a daily basis." and neuvillette is like "well about that…" and explains and dain is like. you fucking did what

either they're together by this point or not (would be fun if they're not)

they never undo it because i mean it really did help dain and it's helping combat the curse (obviously it doesnt entirely prevent it it's just slower and less painful) so like there's no reason to get rid of it. (there would probably be some other stuff to it thought because you cant do that sort of shit without there being SOME weird side effects and caveats)

so they're like married for tax benefits but it's a way deeper connection then regular legal marriage and also the benefits are better than tax benefits. and they DO actually get together eventually

another idea is that neuvillette never tells dain what he did and just. keeps it to himself. but he does subconciously start seeking him out more and dain would notice and find it slightly confusing but accepts it. but dain finds out like a while later abt what neuvillette did when he's investigating something or whatever (idk how he would. maybe like someone would tell him or something. alice? they're friends to me) and dain is like. HE WHAT

thinking abt the neuvidain soulbond concept again i think neuvillette feels all of dainsleif's pain from that incident in the chasm

anyway thinking about neuvillette in his office and he's suddenly like. hit by a wave of pain and agony and fear/sorrow and he has to like. sink to the ground and press his back against the wall and try to breathe cause it's awful

and he's confused and disoriented for a moment before he realizes that the pain and feelings he's experiencing are all from dainsleif and realizes that it's probably worse wherever he is and feels upset and afraid and worried abt him and guilty he cant be there and angry at whatever's causing this and all he can do is sit there and wait for it to be over

eventually it passes and he has to sit there struggling to catch his breath and now he doesnt even know if dainsleif is alive after that (he knows obviously he will be because of the curse, but he cant shake the fear that there's always the chance that he might not be)

back on my neuvidain bullshit. so i think dainsleif doesn't come into cities and stuff much except for like, important stuff/info or supplies (and to check on yknow society and stuff) so when he first meets neuvillette it's like, outside the context of chief justice. so when he does learn it doesnt impact him much either way because while he respects what he does it really doesnt matter to dainsleif he does not care who you are (which is an interesting experience to neuvillette)

i also think the melusines like dain a lot and he doesnt really understand why but is grateful anyway. they're naturally drawn to his abyss aura but they also are very kind and nice to him because they sense he's in pain and their first instinct is to comfort him

dainsleif has alot of melusine friends he likes them alot more than humans

now im thinking about a scene where neuvillette or furina finds out that dain used to be a knight from a melusine officer because he helped her feel more confident in her job or smthn after feeling down
