Hey hun 🥰
Since you like angst, here’s the angstiest AU I have with the boys 😉
Flowers in the Attic. If you’ve never heard of it, it’s a cheesy gothic horror novel in which a mother keeps her children locked in an attic for years on end. Abuse ensues. The two eldest children begin a romance.
So my thoughts for the AU are this: Ed and Al live with their parents in a vague unspecified time period of the past, an idyllic existence. They have a few little siblings. Winry, perhaps? Nina? Could never figure that out.
One day, their father dies tragically. With no means to support her young children, Trisha turns to the wealthy parents of her late husband, who’d always disapproved of their son marrying below his station. (The parents being Father and Dante)
They agree to take Trisha and her children in, but only temporarily. Problem is, not long after settling in the big, scary house, Trisha falls ill and dies as well. Leaving her children in the hands of two people who despise their existence.
Instead of taking them to an orphanage like a reasonable person, their grandmother locks them in the attic.
Years pass. Incest ensues. The boys always wonder if their attraction came from the lack of other options, or if they were simply destined to be together.
Their grandmother, who already considers them disgusting little urchins, is all the more appalled when their relationship comes to light. She incites several methods of retaliation and abuse against them, including cutting off their food supply and Ed’s gorgeous golden hair.
The little siblings suffer horribly as well, growing up in a box, never allowed to go outside, with only their older brothers as parents. Tragedy strikes.
I have no idea how this would end—would the boys retaliate? Would they simply escape? Languish? That’s for the future-me-who-decides-to-write-this-fic to figure out.
Send me a 📓 or other book emoji, and I’ll tell you about a fic idea I’ve daydreamed, but haven’t actually written!
Hello! I have finally solidified a Michael design for my au fic!! So here we have temporarily undistorted Michael, Gerry Keay and super secret third character who shall not be named
