on being socially awkward:

me (waitress): are you all ready to order?

semi-attractive older man: yes, I'd like a royal burger.

me: that burger comes with the egg sunny-side-up, is that okay?

man: yes, that's fine. why do you ask?

me: oh, because the burger used to come with the egg cooked over-hard but we just changed it. not everyone knows it comes sunny side up now and i work on the line too and people are always asking me, "can you make this hard."

man: *stares*

me: *stares*

me: *walks away*

10 minutes later:

me: how is everything tasting?

man: *stares*

me: *facepalm*
