#TheBestPartsOfWakingUp, this doesn't come easy, but when you go for what you know, it's all worth it, right. Ok, my husband & I have been managing a property for a little over two months. Me, doing what I do, whenever I go into a new situation, I rarely jump the gun & I feel things out, like I'm blind. Even in a position of #Power with #Authority, I don't rush to switch things up, even if I can clearly see changes need to be made, right. Now, on yesterday, after asking the Owner, who's very frugal, to upgrade some appliances & getting what I requested, I knew a tenant or two would have a problem with the changes I had to make. Like the fact that they were allowed to make their own coffee & all day if they wanted & no one really cleaned up after themselves. That's why the appliances really had to be replaced. Well, I typed up a letter to inform the tenants of my changes, but my printer struggled to connect to the Wi-Fi, so I decided to go ahead & see how they do without me telling them. I figured, since we're all adults & no kids are in the building, they should get the memo. Well, they all seemed to get it & showed their appreciation for the changes I made, except one. An older lady, who woke up screaming my name, asking for coffee. I laughed, thinking, my husband warned me about this one, before he left for work. So, I got up to make her coffee, before time & she asked, "Is this how it's going to be from now on?" "Yes, I told her, to keep things clean." Ironically, I knew she liked to run brewed coffee back through the coffee maker & that was a problem. Now, that she couldn't have her way, she tried to keep her cool, but before the day was out, she went off, saying, "It's always something..!" #InTheMean & #InBetween, I held my peace, all the while, thinking, some people just don't do well with change. Even when they have no control over changes that are made, #ButGod, even when the changes are good & for them.
