I don’t remember this day. I was barely two years old. I don’t remember the fear, and the horror, and the sickening feeling that so many felt when they realized their loved ones were dead. I don’t remember what it was like to see the Twin Towers burning, or to hear the fire engines, or to search the crowds for that one familiar face, hoping against hope. But I remember the ramifications. As soon as I was old enough to understand, my parents started teaching me how to defend myself. As soon as I was old enough to comprehend the severity of what happened, my parents told me. As soon as I was old enough to make the decision for myself, I started caring. To me, it doesn’t matter that I don’t remember it personally. To me, it doesn’t matter that my family wasn’t directly affected by the horrendous actions of this day 18 years ago. To me, it doesn’t matter that I didn’t lose someone in this despicable terrorist attack. All that matters to me is my home, the United States of America, was attacked, and my countrymen, Americans, were killed and maimed. All that matters to me, is cowards murdered innocent Americans by crashing planes full of innocent lives into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, killing 2,977 people and maiming thousands more. To me, all that matters is almost 10,000 families were directly affected by this attack, and the ripple effects shook our nation to its core. Today, 18 years later, it disgusts me that the Left and its proponents downplay what 9/11 is. They had the audacity to compare President Trump being elected to the mass murder of 2,977 people. They sum it up as “some people did something” and neglect and trample over the suffering and grief of thousands of families. 9/11 was not “some people did something”. 9/11 was a brazen attack led by cowards who murdered 2,977 people. 9/11 was an attack on the stronghold of freedom. 9/11 was an attack on the home of millions of people. 9/11 was a travesty, one that should never be overlooked, and never be forgotten. #neverforget #neverforget911 #neverforgetthefallen #neverforgetthem #neverforgetthe2977victims #2977victims #rememberthefallen #godblessamerica #godsgraceandmercy #proudtobeanamerican #america https://www.instagram.com/p/B2SFgoghmND/?igshid=1fxf20rm8evkv
