Horizons // Ariel & Peter Pan
Ariel traveled so often it wasn't hard to turn up in a new place, and popping her head above water as the reefs below her began to change wasn't surprising when the scene was new. And of course, this time like many others, the scene was new. An island rose above her, into a bay that looked slightly rocky and as she swirled in a wide arc around, she noticed a most curious looking skull made out of stone, and a pirate ship, and the most beautiful rainbow. It certainly seemed like quite a lovely island, and the water was crystal blue with all sorts of new types of fish, though they didn't seem to be very friendly.
The shore wasn't far away, blanketed in white sand from what she could tell and with thick jungle beyond it. She swam towards it a-ways, letting her tail flicks propel her about a hundred yards or so before sinking beneath the surface and checking out the underwater scene. Lazily drifting forward, it wasn't long before she got tired of all the rude fish and popped above water again. They certainly didn't seem to like mermaids.
Heartaches and Loneliness (CLOSED)
Bri sat on her bed, staring down at her hands with a sad gaze. The brunette sighed, pulling her knees to her chest. She felt absolutely sick to her stomach. Everything hurt so badly. Why had Kane been so stupid as to do what he'd done? Did he have a deathwish? Or rather, did he want to put himself through that mental Hell? Either way, she wished she could save him. Help him get out of the mess he'd gotten into. She looked out her window, leaning against the pane as she looked at the stars longingly.

"Peter,... Sweetie? Are you around?" Bri peeked into his room before stepping inside. "Peter?"

Work was easy that day. Just a few simple clients and her boss had allowed Anna to go home early. The rest of the day was spent to herself. It was nice to have a day off every now and then. She had been to the park, gone shopping, and even treated herself to a nice dinner before arriving back at home. By then it had gotten dark, the stars barely visible through the city lights and clouds. Still, there had been a nice breeze. Enough that Anna decided to open her patio window. She just settled all cozy into her love seat with a book when she heard a noise just outside her flat. Immediately, the woman jumped to her feet. "H-hello?" Anna shouted, voice shaking a little. Maybe it was just a stray cat. As soon as the thought entered her head, she denied it. Anna lived on the third story of her building.
