The stages of the divorce
I saw the movie a little over a week ago.I still haven't gotten over it So I made some chibis to get them out of my system.
the hucklerobby worms are back and they're telling me that dennis's presence in robby's bed is going to cause the first night of sleep robby's had in years where he hasnt put the TV on for background noise...
like they spend the night together finally after a few weeks of dating (they hadn't fully had sex until now because robby was so dedicated to making sure dennis didn't feel like he was being pressured into anything), and the sex is glorious and romantic and insatiable all at once and they tire each other out.
and then dennis snuggles into robby's arms with his head on his chest and falls asleep. and robby watches him, and feels his heartbeat, and hears his soft breathing. and it doesn't even occur to him to switch the TV on. he falls asleep there and then.
he only notices in the morning when, instead of reruns of some sitcom with a laugh track playing, he wakes up to the noise of dennis snuffling into his neck. just dennis, no TV.
well fuck. maybe he should keep this curly haired man.
One day, after Sunday dinner at the Hollander residence, Yuna and David pull out old tapes of Shane learning how to skate at age 3-4 and my man Ilya will watch them holding his breath, absolutely charmed by little Shane wobbling on ice at first but waving at Yuna while David shows him how to skate. Ilya will briefly think of his own mum and how she was the one to teach him and how those memories are now mostly lost in Russia, never to be seen again. And for a second he imagines what it would be like to teach their own kid how to skate sometime in the future.
