~Thoughts about Time~

I'm dating this guy, let's call him Johnny. I've known him since we were babies. He's 4 years older than me. I even have pictures of him holding me as a baby. He moved away as a teenager and we got on with our lives. I rarely saw him except on holidays when he'd visit his grandpa who lives in the neighborhood. Johnny was a private person, no cellphone and not social networking. We never really were able to keep in contact. As a kid, I used to have a crush on him. The times I would see him again, I'd feel like those feelings never went away. Johnny was that one crush that never really went away. I had a few relationships and I'm sure he's had his. The beginning of this year was difficult for me after going thru a break up with a guy I was with for 3 years. I hadn't dated anyone since. About a month ago, Johnny moved back to his grandpa's house temporarily. We were neighbors again. We began talking and hanging out. it's funny to find out how similar we were and everything just flowed naturally. I'd never had something like this happen before. One day our hangouts became dates. I was dense and didn't realize it till he told me "yes, we're dating." I then confessed that I've always liked him. He then said the feelings mutual. Time has a funny way of working out. We're in our twenties now, but I feel everything we've gone thru led us to this point. EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON. I believe it.
