Thanks booktivities for tagging me! Love your questions!
1. How big is your current TBR pile? And I’m talking physical (and electronic…) books in your possession, not your GoodReads “to read” shelf. My tbr right now is about 14 books on my kindle and about 34 physical books on my shelf. There's probably more hidden on my regular shelves too, but if I move them it disrupts the balance…
2. Book that’s made you cry the most? I'm going to have to go with Slammed by Coleen Hoover. This book was just so emotional and so sad at times. There's so much bad shit that happens to these characters. But I really loved this book despite all the tears!
3. Book that has made you laugh the most? The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken was such a funny book for a dystopian. Liam and Chubbs and Zu oh my goodness. And then the banter between Ruby and Liam was just too funny at times. 4. Book you wish you could read again for the first time? Harry Potter. Harry Potter is always the answer. Lol. But if I had to pick something besides Harry Potter… I'd have to say Paper Towns by John Green. It was my first John Green novel and it wasn't anything like I expected it to be and I'd love to experience it again. 5. Do you prefer new books? eBooks? Library Books? Used books? I prefer used books when I can. I have practiced the fine art of finding the books I want in really good condition for pretty cheap. It is an art that every book collector needs. I'll only get brand new books if I really have to or if I get coupons from Barnes and Noble. I also like eBooks as long as they're under about $4. 6. What’s your go to resource for books recs? Could be a person, a website, a store, whatever! For recs I first start with my favorite booktubers. They usually have really good recommendations. After that I'll go to amazon, type in a book that I love and see what pops up for recs under there. After that if I still need recs, well, I'll usually just go to Barnes and Noble and just start picking up books until I find some that sound interesting. 7. What series (or author) are you currently counting the days until the next book releases? I have a bunch (lol don't we all!) of books that I am not so patiently waiting for. But I have that list coming out pretty soon so I'll just tell you the one that's closest to coming out. Catacomb by Madeline Roux is coming out September 1st (I'll read it on the way to Hogwarts) and is the third book in the Asylum series. 8. Did you ever attend a Harry Potter midnight release party at a bookstore? Did you dress up? As who!? (For those too young for this… I am so, so sorry…) Sadly I was too young for this. Well, some might not consider me too young. I was old enough to love Harry Potter and read the books, but I was too young to go by myself or even have my oldest sister take me. My parents worked a lot. My mom worked the night shift and my dad had to get up for work at 5, so they just weren't able to ever take me to one. 9. Worst spoiler you’ve ever received (don’t list the actual spoiler… just the book/series and enough so we know….for example, I think mine was finding out how the end of “All the Bright Places” ends. It ruined the suspense of the last several chapters for me). *Sigh* The worst spoiler would have to be Allegiant. I was watching a PolandBananasBooks video and didn't read the description were it warns about the allegiant spoiler in the video. So I know how it ends. But I still have to read Insurgent and Allegiant. So I don't know specifics, just who died. 10. Who’s your ultimate book OTP (one true pairing)? <3 Percabeth. Always Percabeth. It's the one ship that has never changed for me. I love them so much <3
