How to deal with college when you are STRESSED AF
We know college is stressful, especially your freshman year. There are so many adjustments to make, endless studying, barely enough time for Netflix, and you aren’t sleeping nearly as much as you should be… So the question is, what are some tips to deal with this unavoidablely huge amount of stress that you have on your shoulders? Em and M are here to help!!!
1. Set aside some time for YOURSELF. Give yourself 10 minute study breaks every half hour/hour. Trust us, it’ll help make those long hours of studying that much more bearable. AND it’ll help you focus.
2. EAT well, SLEEP better. When you eat healthy, it helps you focus more and do better on assignments (shocking right?). Plan out your studying when you know you have a big test coming up. Pulling all nighters the night before a test will actually be less beneficial then studying for a few hours and getting some sleep under your belt. You will be more aware during your test and probably get a better grade than trying to cram everything in last minute.
3. PRIORITIZE. We’ve been over this… make a list, do what is most important on your list, and check everything off as you complete it. It’ll make you feel more productive and motivate you to get all your sh** done. :)
4. Reward yourself. You did it! You deserve a little treat for getting through the week! Whether you watch some Netflix, get a little midnight snack at Cheesewalla or Crepes of Wrath, whatever your heart desires. College is hard, but you are doing it, and doing it well. Em and M are v proud of y’all. <3
