Okay now, here are some SUUUPER sketchy thumbnails for my ‘close to final’ revision of the pilot episode for Sailor Barkley. The pilot is called ‘New Boot’ and introduces my three main characters, Chief Cutter, HM3 Squints, and of course, Sailor Barkley. The thumbnails really help me get ideas down for facial expressions, gag placements and story development. The next step is acting out the story so far and making sure that it won’t be too long. Then after the final revision of the story, I will start storyboarding. My goal is to have a complete storyboard by the end of March so that I can submit it to the Nickelodeon artist program. I’m always afraid of my ideas never being good enough. But it is something I really want to do. I hope that I can make someone smile when they see my story. I know that the thumbnails are really rough, but you might have an idea of what’s going on. And then the storyboard will blow this out of the water ;)
