Then the lighting flashes, and the silhouette of a girl stands against the storm, palm hard-pressed to the glass. “Nona?”

   It is the 265th loop; the last opportunity to lay to rest an old wrong. Something happened between those four friends in 1943, when once they enjoyed a wedding together, a celebration of life: Francis Salter, Maggie Adler, Anna Shea, and a weapons technician of the USS Walter Roy. Both past and present, they are a hero complex, a chipped shoulder, a bad trip and a broken record... The last of them is yet to be determined.

Bellamy Blake wasn’t always a famed pirate, known for his ruthlessness and fearsome rule over the blue-green seas of the New World. He used to be someone quiet different to Clarke Griffin, but that was years ago. She isn’t the soft-hearted girl she used to be either–more steel than anything now.

So when this former flame comes back into her life, she sees him only as a threat to the precarious peace she has built in her smugglers’ island community. But then he makes her an offer that would give Arkadia the stability she’s fought so hard for, and she can’t turn him down. As they set off to find a treasure beyond their wildest dreams, both Clarke and Bellamy begin to let their guards down, finding maybe despite the years of separation, they can salvage some of their former selves and, with it, their relationship.
