miraculous team upgrade

Multiple footsteps were heard as they landed on the Eiffel tower. Ladybug, Ryuu and Python looked at the newest addition.

 Her silver hair glistened in the moonlight as the ear on top of her head twitched towards every little sound. Her overall costume was a combination of black, grey and white as well as looked practical. A grey tail lazily wagged behind her.

 (I don't know who is the artist but a thumbs up to you. you really are great, proud of you. you decreased my struggle by half.)

Ladybug smiled towards her as she introduced them all before leading them towards a deserted warehouse.

 Today we have two issues we need to discuss urgently.

 Ladybug turned serious as soon as they set foot in the warehouse. The three turned towards their leader, ladybug looked straight at the new addition before opening her mouth.

 The first step of stronger bond is to trust your team and have faith that they will keep their secret. So we will be revealing our identities to each other or rather to the new miraculous hero.

 Ryuu and python flinched at the remark before shouting in sync.

 Ladybug you can’t do this!

 She just got here, you can’t just show our identities to her just like that.

 Ryuu flared up before glaring at the wolf. Ladybug just shook her head before smiling apologetically.

 She already guessed out.

They looked at the wolf who smirked at them before leaning against the wall.

 That’s right. I already guessed it. It wasn’t hard to connect the dots. Isn’t that true…….Marinette.

 Ryuu and python looked between the two girls, surprised at the development of events. Ladybug sighed before she called off her transformation. Seeing that the others also called off their transformation.

 Luka and Kagami sighed before smiling at the holder of wolf miraculous. Kaylan smiled before letting herself led to a corner. It has an old sofa and a few things to make it a ‘base’.

 You guys need a better glamor. I can make a few adjustments to your miraculous.

 You still didn’t tell us how you recognized us.

 That was partially my fault.

 Ladybug admitted before Kaylan cut her off.

 Actually it wasn’t your fault at all. I knew it for a long time.

Her eyes glowed before all of them were in the air, floating like there was no gravity at all. A few exclamation remarks later, they all sat in their spots.

  That explains why you felt a little extraordinary to my Kwami.

 Luka strung on the guitar before looking at the said girl. Before she could say anything, Nova, the white blob rushed forwards before started gushing.

 Of course he would. Sass knows a talent when he sees one. My pup is extremely gifted. She can use magic. Not just anyone, it is definitely superior one. Well…..inferior to mine of course…………….

 Kaylan waved her hand before the little stool on the side started moving and barked before jumping towards the Kwami who squeaked and floated around trying to get away from it. Others laughed at the comical scene before turning towards Kaylan.

 Though it might look like I’m talking big, but I want you guys to put your trust on me that I will be loyal to you. It will be a huge risk but……I am ready to take an oath if necessary.

 There was a pin drop silence making Kaylan nervous. A magician’s oath is one of the sacred oaths. Something that cannot be broken until death. The Kwami that were floating around stilled for a minute. Even they knew the importance of such an oath.

 There’s no need.    Marinette said with a smile before exchanging looks with the other two. Luka and Kagami looked relaxed, making her relax too.       We already knew you would be a valuable asset to the team. I just didn’t tell them about our reveal. Sorry you have to reveal you powers too.

 Marinette apologized making them smirk.

 We knew!           Of course they knew.

 Luka and Kagami admitted while Kaylan remarked sarcastically making Marinette smile nervously.

 Since we are all here will all the secrets out, I think we can move to our other objective of today.

 Marinette turned serious again. This time, it was grave seriousness. It was like they were going to discuss the life and death matter. And her next words proved it.

which Kwami suits Kaylan the best?

Trixx, the Kwami of illusion

 The akuma after midnight was one of those where Marinette thinks ‘ah, yes I won’t be able to sleep any longer and I’m gonna punch Hawkmoth the moment I see him for the bullshit he threw on school night.’

 And who the hell fights in the middle of the night! But apparently, the brother from the fencing club just had to challenge his sister. And look where it got her. She was able to match Kagami in their sword clash. So taking this akuma head on was a mistake. They had to take the akumatized object by fooling the akuma. So here she was, in front of the miracle box, fox miraculous in her hand. She couldn’t ask Alya. She hadn’t called Alya in 8 months now.

Tikki! What do I do?! I haven’t called Alya in a long time and I have to give out fox miraculous! What do I do?!

 Marinette! MARINETTE!! It’s okay. Breath. Just trust your instinct. And if you still don’t have any idea why not ask Kaylan if she could help. This way we’ll see how well she works with the miraculous. And if a particular miraculous resonates with her soul.

 Now that you have mention she does have the soul of a true holder. I just couldn’t figure out which one.

 Shall we test it then?

Tikki, spots off.

Marinette sighed and sat in front of miracle box. Fox miraculous in hand, she waited for Tikki to get the Kwami’s food. She needed to ask Trixx what she thought of her new holder. She opened the box and Trixx came out of her miraculous.

 So……..how was it?

Marinette asked nervously. While Trixx was the Kwami of illusion only a creative story teller can use it properly. Alya wasn’t able to see through the lies so she was not a perfect kit for the fox Kwami.

 While she has a creative mind to make illusion, she isn’t a kit. Way too straightforward. From what you say, she has seen through the lies and illusion but the ability to be a master illusionist isn’t there. Her abilities are rather offensive than defensive. Sorry guardian.

 It’s ok Trixx, I understand. I do know that I can trust her with a miraculous but which miraculous is a perfect fit for her………….it’s something I have difficulty with.

 It’s ok Marinette. We will help you. You were suddenly burdened with such responsibility. We will do trial and error and we will find the perfect fit for her. We need all the help we can get. Especially when Hawkmoth is getting stronger and chat isn’t supporting you like he should. Why don’t you take some rest? We still have some time before your alarm go off.

 You’re right. We defeated the akuma rather easily tonight. Kaylan was capable.

 And she knocked out the akuma as soon as she had a chance. She does not take unnecessary risks.

 So she is strong, calculated, defiantly smart, a different smart like she thinks in a whole other light. She has a way to twist words.

 Not to mention, she definitely knows how to act. Did you see how Lila looked when she turned her black eye incident against her?

 That was a very good day. I’m surprised I didn’t have to fight her akuma.

 Maybe Hawkmoth was having a day off?

 *shrug* maybe.

Pollen, the Kwami of subjection

 Marinette called off her transformation before feeding the Kwami and sitting in front of them to ask about the new user. Pollen shook her head before sighing and retelling all the events that happened.

 So not until Chloe came, she wasn’t able to use her weapon.

 Marinette started thinking again.

Her abilities lie in the front line. Unlike the bees who keep the hive under their protection, do the crowd control and do sneak attack. From what I observed, she is more likely to prefer the head on battle, than just a crowd control.

 Marinette nodded before saying a few words and getting back to her work.

Wayzz, the Kwami of protection

 Marinette entered her room before falling right on her bed. Thankfully tomorrow was weekend. Or she might have punched the first person she might see in school (preferably Lila).

 Tikki floated towards the cookie stash and started asking the events.

 For how long have you known that she has magic?

 Since she first helped Marinette from that doctor plaque incident.

She was able to use magic while being in the suit. But despite all this, she is still not a true turtle.

 This is getting out of hand.     Tikki sighed.   She can use any miraculous. And all the miraculous that she had used are highlighting some of her traits, but they are still not to the point that we can say that she is a particular holder.

 Why don’t we ask everyone regarding this issue?

 Wayzz asked Tikki before floating in the miraculous box. Tikki thought for a while before shrugging and going to sleep.

She was tired and she was not able to think straight. She’ll visit them later.

Inside the miracle box.

 The Kwami inside the miracle box, hurdled together as they discuss about Kaylan.

 She can wield any miraculous if needed but the bond won’t be as developed as we have with the true holder.     Trixx said as she moved around.

She is rather put off by unconventional weapons. But she is a fast learner. She knows how to fight and that makes up for her inability to use an unconventional weapon if presented suddenly.   Pollen took a bite of honey cookies.

 True. And her own magic abilities are rather different than what we have. But I thought they complimented ours. What do you think Tikki?       Wayzz asked the Kwami of creation.

 Tikki was thinking but before she could say anything, Mullo interrupted.

 What about her? Isn’t she about balance? And Kaylan is a balance soul.

They all looked at each other before turning to Tikki. She was the one with far more authority. She looked at every Kwami present.

 How long has it been? A few centuries? Guess the balance must be achieved. Next time I’ll tell Marinette about it. Does anyone has a problem with this decision?

 No one said a thing.

 Then it’s decided. We now have an active wolf.
