Miraculous x OC New Kid Salt Prompts
New kid prompts?? Okay. :)
(Lowkey was tempted to have my OC, Noelle, be the placeholder for the new kid, so fuck it we ball. I just needed a name because I wasn't gonna leave ____ or "new kid" or, god forbid "y/n" or "f/n l/n" (first name last name). I also wasn't keen on just referring to the new kid as "they/them" because, again, I needed an actual name)
Prompt 1: Marinette couldn't believe it. Ever since she (finally) exposed Lila, she thought her problems were over.
But no, she had a whole new problem. A problem named Noelle Parker. A girl who recently moved from somewhere in America (no, she wasn't paying attention. Sue her!!) to Paris, France.
And honestly?? She just knew this would be another Lila situation.
She has to be lying. She's just more smart about it. More subtle.
She just can't believe her friends, who just learned they were deceived, lied to, had been taken advantage of, were falling for another liar.
Well, she'll always be ready. Noelle will slip. Just like Lila did. And when she does, she'll be there to expose her.
Prompt 2: Noelle was getting irritated by now.
It's been months since she moved to Paris with her father. Months since her mother passed. Months since she last saw her girlfriend in person. She was adjusting, but it was hard. And it's harder considering she knows someone is watching her.
One specific person who has looked at her since she transferred to Francois Dupont.
Seriously, what was Marinette's problem?? She hasn't done anything. She barely talks to the pigtails wearing girl.
Honestly, if she doesn't stop soon, she's telling an adult. And hopefully they do something to stop her.
Prompt 3: Marinette scowled as she peered around the bookshelf she was hiding behind.
Today was supposed to be the day she and Adrien got together. A fun, nice, day at the park. Her, Alya, Nino, and Adrien. A double date picnic. Alya and Nino would go off to do something, and she'd confess and Adrien would tell her he was waiting for this day. And then they would plan their wedding and-
But then Adrien said he couldn't go.
Why?
Because he was tutoring a transfer student a year below them.
She had sent Alya and Nino off to enjoy the picnic by themselves, she didn't feel like third wheeling.
Why did Adrien have to tutor this "Noelle" girl anyways? Did she like him? Was this "tutoring session" just Noelle's idea of tricking Adrien into dating her?!
She growled silently as the two beamed at each other. She had to bite her hand when she saw Noelle give Adrien her phone.
She didn't deserve his number. She was going to keep doing this stupid tutoring lie and Adrien is going to fall for her. And if she tries to do something, she's sure she's going to be called out for bullying a younger student.
Prompt 4: "Is she always like this?" Noelle asked.
"Like what?" Alya asked. Noelle had joined their class a little over a week ago. Depending on the damage her school had from a fire it had, she might not be at Dupont for long. But still, that didn't mean Alya and her classmates couldn't befriend the girl.
"Accusing people she doesn't know about things they aren't."
"Well," Alya hesitated, "there's this other girl in our class, Lila, that Marinette has insisted is a liar. She doesn't back her claims and a lot of us, most of us, think she's jealous about how close Lila is to Adrien. Lila doesn't like Adrien like that, but she's his friend. Marinette can't seem to see that. Maybe she thinks you like Adrien too, since you talk so easily with him?"
"....yeah, because he has the personality of a feral kitten once you really get to know him. Also, I'm fucking gay!!"
Or: Marinette assumes every new person around her classes age is out to take Adrien from her. So what if she and Adrien aren't dating?? He's hers and hers only.
Prompt 5: Adrien sighed as Marinette was lead to Principal Damoclès office. Why? Because one Noelle Parker had had enough of Marinette harassing her and reported her not only to her father, but to her own teacher and the principal.
It seemed like, with the exception of Alya, Marinette just always had an issue with new kids.
First there was himself. She still hasn't apologized for accusing him of sticking gum on her seat, for not listening to him first and either apologizing for accusing him, or sticking to her accusations, but at least she let him explain himself.
A long talk with Felix and Kagami had him realize he shouldn't have had to be the one to apologize for that incident.
It wasn't his fault. Chloe should have been the one to apologize to Marinette, and Marinette had to apologize to him. He wasn't going to push her one, since it happened long ago. But it stays on his mind a lot.
Then there was Lila. And, okay, Marinette is right when she says Lila was a liar. But, people knew. They, like him, just thought she wanted to fit in. To make herself seem cooler, more fun, more interesting.
But Marinette insisted Lila was lying about everything. Something that makes her come off as extremely ablist. They can't just demand Lila prove she has disabilities.
And now there's Noelle. Adrien isn't sure why Marinette has decided she didn't like the girl, but she had been gathering "evidence" of her being a bad person.
Because she wanted to prove it.
That way no one would accuse her of being jealous, like they did Lila. She insisted on following him and Noelle when they hung out. Adrien had told her no several times. So you can see how frustrating it was when she still did.
And all her evidence was ridiculous and creepy. Photos of Noelle hanging out with him and/or their classmates. Photos of Noelle's locker. One had an arrow pointing to a lesbian pride pin with a note saying "probably faking for attention." Every bit of it was just Noelle having fun with their class. Marinette could have been in those photos if she hadn't decline every. Single. Hangout. She was invited to.
So, when she turned to him, asking him to tell their teacher that she did nothing wrong, tears in her eyes ready to fall, he did nothing. He said nothing. He only watched as Ms. Mendeleiev walked her out of Mrs. Bustier's class. Maybe this made him a bad friend. But maybe he and Marinette were never friends to begin with.
