hey, tags! long time no see. we told our members first but we are launching a small, character driven subplot inspired by gossip girl and pretty little liars. to keep it short and simple, this plot centers a tight knit circle of friends living in the quaint town of sag harbor on long island, new york, whose lives appear sparkling clean, but obviously, they are not.
behind charity galas and dockside dinners sit betrayals and buried mistakes. at the center of it all is an anonymous source known as "the watcher." the watcher moves in silence. no face. no voice. just perfectly timed secret reveals that shakes the salt aired town. as private conversations resurface in ways that never should have to the watcher's blog, nothing feels random or accidental. because the watcher possesses intimate knowledge of group discussions, the friends are forced to confront the unsettling reality that threats are not external but coming from within their own circle. ultimately, paranoia spreads quickly, alliances shatter, and everyone begins pointing fingers at one another. the scariest part about it all ? the watcher is not the obvious enemy, the watcher is one of them.
there were 10 canon characters available on a first come, first serve basis but all have been taken. however, we will create more if anybody outside the roleplay wants to join. if there's interest, shoot us a message in the dm and will work on creating a role for you. each canon will come with a defined career, one to two locked in secrets, and a set role within the group dynamic.
since this is a temporary plotline expected to run approximately two to three months, faces taken in vybe can be used for this plot as it does not affect the main verse. also, participants will not be required to create twitter accounts for these temp characters. instead, you will only need a new email to create a cliq account for this storyline. all activity will take place on cliq, and dms on cliq will function as your cell phone. this is important to note because the watcher may send text messages threatening you to carry out certain actions in exchange for not spilling your secret.
as admins, we are fully committed to making this an immersive experience so channels will be created for everything we need— including a social media channel, a channel exclusively for the watcher's website, and homes for basic roleplaying.
