Y’all. Best thing I heard today goes to my new trainee.
So, we have to be at work around 4am and without coffee no one has a filter and we’re all pretty pissy. This makes training very interesting because I’m constantly trying to keep my trainees interested in the job while I would rather be back in bed and passed out.
I apologized for my grumpy attitude to my new trainee and he laughed and said, “I actually prefer this kind of attitude toward training. It’s real. It’s much better than having a trainer who stepped right out of Ouran High School Host Club.” I stopped what I was doing the second he mentioned OHSHC (it’s my favorite anime and my comfort anime, but I rarely meet people irl who have seen it), and I kinda just stared at him for a few seconds.
I finally said “wait you’ve actually seen that anime?” And his response made my entire day.
“Allie, I’m a gay man in a relationship with a Filipino guy and I’m getting married on Monday. Of course I know that anime.”
And I could not stop laughing.
Turns out his fiancé’s favorite anime is my bf’s favorite too so that was amusing as well.
