What have I done?

So, when I decided to get a new shelf, I ordered some new violet leaves from Bloomlovers. They came in a week ago.

Got them all potted up now, but a week after I ordered them, one of the members of our local group put out an email that a woman out of province was offering to send us a bunch of leaves and plants. Well, I couldn’t miss the opportunity, and she had a bunch of ones I was interested in, so I put my name down for eight varieties. She sent extras and I ended up grabbing a couple more that I’d restrained myself from putting on my list :P

Oh, and all this was after the round robin - a box sent back and forth across Canada, full of leaves. When you get it, you take out the leaves you want, and replace them with leaves of your own to pass on, and mail it off to the next person. So I got about ten more from that. So yeah, I have just over thirty new varieties. 

Thank the gods some of the varieties the out of province lady sent us were plants and not leaves, so I’m not going to end up with ten of each right away. But let me tell you, I’m not going to have any trouble filling up my shelf over the winter.

Sounds delicious too! Where, pray tell, are local wineries? Nothing better than to live in a wine region, which I did several years ago... Come Sunday morning and one wonders what to do. “A great idea, let’s visit a few wineries and taste some wines, maybe have a picnic on the lawns of one!” Oh memories...
