I’ve been hype for this ever since I watched the rtx panel stream. Its spoilertown under the cut

Grif has gone full on castaway and it works. Good to know he spent his time away learning Spanish. 

Locus is acting so.... gentle? almost. There’s a lot more humanity to him these days, like he’s finally gotten to take the time and start to recover on his own. 

Like seriously Locus using the word ‘insane’ and not reacting when Grif throws words like ‘crazy’ around is huge. Not to mention the word ‘partner’ being a little bit loaded in all likelihood because of Felix. 

Meanwhile this green motherfucker is here like “great. another annoying talkative orange partner.” 

Really I’m just so glad to see Locus acting human. And now they get to go save the Reds and Blues!

All the speculation on Temple is fun because it feels like looking through a yearbook’s “Most Likely To Be A Serial Killer” section.

Still thinking about the new episode, and I don’t think anyone’s talked about this guy yet. 

Agent Illinois honestly makes me so sad. He’s such a normal guy from what little we know about him. 

Like, here’s what we know about him:

He was a demolitions guy just trying to live his life. Apparently a good shot with a rifle.

After freelancer he wanted a bunch of islands, good booze, and a little red sailboat. 

He has a whale sticker and polka dots on his helmet. His helmet is shaped like a tiny cute whale.

He takes bad selfies with his friends when he goes out drinking. 

He was just... a guy. A normal guy that liked the ocean and good drinks and wanted to retire somewhere warm.

Also, good luck convincing me that this wasn’t the kid that wanted nothing more than to be a pirate when he was growing up. Rum, blowing things up, boats, islands, and oceans.

there's a reason for this, and the animosity is a fallout from that. i wasnt in the fandom when e19 happened, but e19 is the crucial point when people started showing animosity for locus.

a friend whom i trust told me about this.and from observations, i would say this friend is right.

Yeah, it definitely looks like this is a long held animosity and I get where the anger is coming from, but people are seriously jumping the gun on this current arc. 

Yeah, Locus did some pretty terrible things but as of right now the arc is just barely even beginning. He’s had no time to display proper motivation beyond a vague answer that was probably just meant to get Grif off of his back, and we don’t know what’s actually going on in his life. Grif even points this out in-character. 

I know that the animosity is always going to be there, I just wish that people would take a breath, be patient, and see where it goes instead of just immediately screeching about the thing when we know next to nothing about what’s going on. This could be a thing that goes on for two episodes or it could be a thing that goes on for two seasons. Raising hell on episode one of the thing doesn’t do all that much good in the long run. 

I’m just annoyed.
