Day 2: Age 3 days. I think I've ID'd some of the new chicks. So far I think we have a speckled sussex, a Plymouth barred, a cuckoo maren, and a golden laced polish. I'm about 67% on these ID's. The other two girls are a little harder, just the ever so slight difference in their fluff. I've decided on spice names. I need to learn their personalities before I can solidify their names. Nite nite little chicks..picked up 4 new little chicks late Thursday afternoon @tractorsupply ...my 2 Granddaughters wanted to go back yesterday afternoon to look at their new Friday shipment...”looking” turned into each girl choosing 6 so now we have 11...lost one cutie this morning ..LOTS of little chick names being tossed around for sure...we might be lucky and get 4 or 5 pullets from this bunch...I have a friend that will take all that I decide I cannot keep...the Granddaughters put a little chair in the coop so they can sit in there to help them get their water and food...such a fun time for all of us ..they are almost 11and 13 but still seem thrilled to enjoy this part of nature! #deborahgibsondesign #newcoop #newchicks #chickencoop #tractorsupply (at Augusta Street Area, Greenville, South Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1kT2BGD_Q1/?igshid=1epgrb9tmu6q7
