everything I approach these days feels and looks very different from previous ones. going to the beach or exploring new places in the woods (for example) has new meanings now. before, it felt like a luxury and a choice to get away from everything else. now those things feel like a necessity, like if I don't find time to recharge and replenish, I may go completely insane. โช๏ธ โช๏ธ โช๏ธ I decided to take a huge break from social media posting because suddenly these platforms have become more than just a simple update on your life (especially this year). there's now so much weight to carry in each post we make or some sort of goal everyones reaching for (the clout). call me old school but I miss the old MySpace days where not too much mattered. things were fun, much simpler and ultimately ZERO PRESSURE. โช๏ธ โช๏ธ โช๏ธ pressure seems to be a word that comes up a lot for me. pressure to post, pressure to be heard, pressure to speak out as a queer black woman, pressure to make choices for white people who want/need answers, pressure to be. rn even, making this post, makes me so anxious, but it's a start. Ancient tomb discovered in Egypt dating back 4,500 years
Archaeologists have uncovered part of a cemetery near Egyptโs famed pyramids on the Giza plateau near Cairo. The cemetery houses burial shafts and tombs of top officials.
The most significant artifact uncovered was a limestone statue of the tombโs owner, his wife and his son dating back to the fifth dynasty (2465-2323 BC) named "Behnui-Ka" and "Nwi".
