“After reading Jamila by Kyrgyz poet Chinghiz Aitmatov, French documentary photographer Claudine Doury developed an interest in the history of the peoples of the steppe, namely Kazakhs, Karakalpaks, Uzbeks, Kyrgyz and Uighurs. From 2002 to 2005 Doury travelled across this region, taking photographs from the Aral Sea to the banks of Issyk Koul to Xinjiang. Quick quick round up. Had a good 2017 🙏🏾 Became a Godfather, dropped #NewEast, spawned 3 videos... 7 in total but the last 3 this year, did my first headline show in the old blue last... packed crowd and that, dropped 2 other singles with dope features, jumped in my first Uber... I drive so I’m rarely in the back seat unless I’m clarting 💦 and had a bad experience with muffins in Dam. That Burger King and hotel will remember me 🤣 There was more moments but these were the top top. I pray 2018 is greater 🙏🏾 (at London Borough of Hackney)
