I think you and I both know that I am not a good man. I’ve done my fair share of fucked up things over the years- I was a shitty husband and an even shittier father. It’s really not surprising that I would end up becoming the shittiest friend too. 

Talk is cheap, I know. And I have no idea why I’m even writing this down in the first place, this is stupid. But I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m sorry. For…everything. I didn’t mean to hurt you and I’d be lying out my damn mouth if I said I didn’t know what I was doing. You deserve the truth. You deserve more than that. 

I fucked up big time, Mary. I don’t know how you have it in you to forgive me after all the shit I’ve done. But thanks. I’ll do right by you this time. I promise.
