Bengaluru Airport Adds Two New Airlines for Winter 2019
BLR Airport or Kempegowda International Airport (KIAB) — operated by Bengaluru International Airport Ltd – is now connecting seven new destinations and adding two new airlines. The winter schedule which had commenced from October 26 will be effective for five-month until March 28, 2020. The two new airlines are Ethiopian Airlines and KLM Royal Dutch, connecting Bengaluru to two new cities. “Introducing newer routes and new airlines will significantly transform BLR Airport as the Gateway to a New India. We will continue to explore attractive routes that connect Bengaluru to some of the most exotic destinations in India and abroad,” said Satyaki Raghunath, Chief Strategy & Development Officer, BIAL. Ethiopian Airlines will offer four weekly non-stop flights to the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, which is considered to be the gateway to Africa. While KLM Royal Dutch will operate three weekly flights to Amsterdam. As for the destination is concerned - five of them include Jaisalmer (Spice Jet, six weekly flights from November 16)Jodhpur (Indigo, daily from October 27)Jharsuguda (Spice Jet, daily from November 16)Bidar (True Jet, daily from December 1)Tuticorin (Indigo, daily from October 27). GoAir Announces New International Flights to Singapore
Low-Cost Carrier GoAir announces two new international flights. The airline will operate flights from Bengaluru to Singapore and Kolkata to Singapore routes. Both new flights will be started from October 18, 2019, at a starting all-inclusive fare of Rs. 6,999. The flights from Bengaluru to Singapore will be operational on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, according to the carrier's official website. On the other hand, the flights from Kolkata to Singapore will be operational on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. The announcement from GoAir comes amid high competition in the country's civil aviation market. Air India Announces New International Flights
Air India has announced new international non-stop flights on the Delhi-Doha route from October 29, 2019. The flights will be operated four times a week, the airline said on its official website. Additionally, Air India will commence operations from Mumbai to Nairobi with its non-stop flights four times a week from November 27, 2019. The announcement from Air India comes amid high competition in the country's civil aviation market. Last month, the carrier also introduced new flights on the Delhi-Toronto and Delhi-Seoul routes. In a separate announcement, Air India said it is offering a 25 percent discount on domestic flight tickets under its 'Ghumo India Family Fare' scheme. Bookings under the sale can be made till March 31, 2020, the state run-carrier said. A minimum of three and a maximum of six family members can avail of this offer with return bookings on the airline's domestic network.
