No Touching Ground
Artwork has always been my outlet for processing the feelings and events I’ve been through. It’s been my vehicle to express very difficult concepts and times in my own life as well as life in general. When I was going through chemotherapy for my cancer, I had to try and understand my own mortality- to be honest I’m not sure I’ve completely come to terms with it, but I know I’m a lot further along with it now than I was before being diagnosed. Conceptualizing this piece and creating it really helped with this process. It’s a cathartic experience. This is a self portrait of me as a young pup.
