Ugh. Did not go so smoothly yesterday. Lady was giving me weird signals which were difficult to interpret. On the one hand, I'm down for the aches and pains that come with a new routine. On the other hand, I hadn't (haven't) been getting enough sleep (darn you, awesome social life!), and I can feel my body fighting off illness, with my throat a little sore, and the right side lymph node on my throat a little swollen (it gets huge when I'm sick). I dont want to cut myself too many breaks and lose the results or get off track, but staying with my workout plan means no getting sick allowed! Also I am tired of being ill. So I decided to compromise and wait to start kettlebells on Saturday, take a quick nap instead, and go run after so I don't lose ground. Of course I overslept and missed my workout time. Then Roomie and I were having people over, I didn't have time to cook dinner, and basically ended up eating a cup if beans real quick and then snacking through the evening on hummus, salsa, and, yes, peanut M&Ms. Except for the M&MS, at least the things I was eating were not horribly unhealthy, but still. Social situations + snacks = I can't say no. Sigh. Just have to pick up where I left off today. I had my yummy oatmeal, later walking, pilates, and a short run. 9 minutes today! Go Lady go!
