Woke up to hearing about Wall Street discourse because of Reddit fixing GameStop stocks lmaooo. NASDAQ is even threatening to shut things down because of it. Investment culture can be such a joke sometimes.
From what I've gathered on Twitter, some people on a Reddit thread worked together to increase the price of GameStop stocks so they can cash out? And the hedge fund boys and investors and yadda yadda are upset because they're "mAnIpUlAtInG tHe MaRkEt," as though that's not something the richy rich do ALL THE TIME. 😂😂
My only thing against this is that I effing hate GameStop and they absolutely don't deserve this come up. Other than that, though, carry on.

That ish is so disgusting. Like UGH, I can't help but think about how years ago, back when I was still on Facebook, catching word that in celebration of his child being born, he'd be donating half his net worth towards developing a better world for the child to live in?? Or something like that. And there was so much praise surrounding that... I didn't think a thing of it but it's like wow the tech boys really been exposing themselves this week. First Bill Gates and his rona vaccine distribution veto, and now Zuckerberg with colonization 2.0.
This also brings me back to how the richy rich don't be spending their money well, because if it was me, I would've BEEN investing in artificial island research so I could just make as many acres of that as I want. Not bothering anyone and not being bothered. The technology could even help with recreating the perfect conditions for animal conservation. And it'd all run on clean, renewable resources (primarily sunlight and water), so it wouldn't add to the world's pollution problem. AND I would ensure that wherever the island rested above water, below it, no habits (like coral reefs) would be disturbed. Nor the sea creatures themselves.
—OR, I just wouldn't ever attempt to take an island away from its natives, simple as that!!!
Like rona made the tech boys filthy, absolutely disgustingly rich, so they definitely have the funds to pull that off. But they won't because they're lame. 🙄🙄 And I'm being civil, here.

Yo. I seriously love following Naomi Wu because I always learn something new from her. The fact that not once did I ever think this repackaging scenario could exist is crazy to me—and it makes so much sense.
Because why wouldn't Chinese manufacturers, who have all the tech and infrastructure for it, build a factory in a different country so they can ~technically~ get further business from those "Why is everything made in China???" types? I really can't knock their hustle, that's smart.

Glad to see the recent reporting of his deplorable, inexcusable behavior by some main industry news sources like Business of Fashion. I first saw his heinous acts mentioned a while back on Twitter, where it seemed like his b.s. wasn’t exactly being hidden... His victims need to be compensated ASAP, and his brand burned to the ground.
