fawn has officially announced her departure from myst.
after seven years with the group , it was announced today that fawn would not be renewing her contract with seventh heaven. instead , she's chosen to continue her thriving career as a soloist with the company's subsidiary label , halo music , under the management of esteemed producer ahn sojung.
this comes just eight months after the group returned from a two–year indefinite hiatus , although fans aren't necessarily surprised. rumors of tensions between the members have been flying since 2021 , when yumeko suddenly announced that she'd given birth. in the two years she promoted as a soloist , fawn's career took off and many noted that she didn't seem too thrilled to be with the group again to promote their comeback single better things last july.
nevertheless , she still included her former bandmates in the heartfelt letter she posted to her instagram today , writing , "thank you for being my sisters and sharing some of the best years of my life with me."
despite the kind message , all four of the remaining members of myst unfollowed fawn on instagram about an hour after the post was made. she later unfollowed them all , as well.
fawn , who's real name is darunee suwannarat , first made her debut as the main rapper of i.o.i in 2016 alongside her best friend yumeko , after placing seventh on the first season of produce 101. once i.o.i disbanded , she debuted once again with myst in 2017 , and began her solo career with the single snappin' in 2019. in 2022 , invu became her breakout song , winning her the title of best solo artist at the mama awards.
