Wow 4th of July snuck up on me. PSA from a gun owning American to all other gun owning Americans: If you celebrate by firing your gun into the air you're scum and I hope bad things happen to you. Full offense intended: you deserve every misery life inflicts on you and any sympathy you receive is wasted on you.

Every year people get hurt and killed by falling bullets. I don't give a fuck about your opinion if you can't understand that every bullet that exits your gun lands somewhere. If you fire your gun into the air I'm officially better than you. If I could make it so that everyone who fires their guns in the air gets hit by their own bullets I would.

Your gun's not a fucking toy. Don't fire it into the air.

i finished You Weren’t Meant To Be Human today and i still need time to really gather my thoughts to rate it; however, *spoilers below*…

non spoilerish: if you’ve read Borrasca, however you handled the ending is how you’d handle this book.

i believe wholeheartedly everything on page was integral to the story, and the negative reviews saying the ending was unnecessary or that the gore was gratuitous, i disagree with every fibre of my being. Crane cannibalizing Sophie was so important, so unbelievably necessary. Crane biting her neck was the only option for the both of them to end this cycle, and was the biggest mercy he could’ve given her. she would’ve lead a life of nothing but pain and misery and being subjected to the whims of sexual abuse just like Crane, and he ended the cycle.

all the foreshadowing of him looking up animals cannibalizing their young laid it out flat, how could that be missed?

naming her Sophie, saying it was a beautiful name for a beautiful girl, brought me to sobbing tears. i already was at that point, but it was another gut punch.

i could go on but i’ll save my thoughts for a more thorough review in the future.
