So I have this Idea for a Whitaker x Reader fic and was wondering if anyone was interested. I'll probably write it either way just wanted to see if people would like it.

Summary: No one being aware that Whitaker is married until his spouse is brought in after a car accident and he freezes when called over to help on the trauma

there's something special to me about characters calling eachother their titles or formal honorifics even thru the worst days of their lifes. like, yes you are holding the other's guts from spilling out but you're still sir/miss/mister/my lady. etc.- ing them

maybe its cause im from a formal/informal pronoun culture but hh its just that extra spice when the interaction goes past what you'd say to someone with that language in day to day life.

like, the fact that john watson and sherlock use the formal pronouns for eachother in the czech translation is so so so good. The stubborn insisting to keep that part of respectable distance even though you are clearly past that, but its hard to admit it to yourself.

or our paladin always calling my character "The Doctor" instead Petr despite over 3 years of irl game play is so so tasty.

you can never replicate the feel of formal pronouns perfectly in english but using titles and honorifics instead works well
