@girlballs
what a beautiful guplet...
hey friends where is that picture of boromir with the gondor flag except its a pride flag?
Couldnāt find it so I made another because youāre right that itās a crime and itās definitely my duty to remedy it
Hi! You've done such an amazing job cataloguing all of this; how would you feel about someone attempting to make a Wikipedia page on Andy and his activity?
That would certainly be interesting; however, it would probably be deleted immediately because Andy isn't considered a public figure or otherwise "notable".
He does have a Fanlore page, though!
It would definitely get deleted immediately, heās not notable according to Wikipediaās guidelines:
Wikipedia:Notability (people) - Wikipedia
If people keep trying to write about topics that donāt warrant an article, the topic will get salted, so it canāt be made (this is what happened with Chris Chan, for example).
But definitely check out Fanlore for a fandom wiki.
yeah yeah rainbow capitalism is bad and whatever but like. when I was a child, being pro gay was not the popular or lucrative choice. I'm happy that times have changed.
I miss rainbow capitalism. I do. I miss when it felt like public opinion was still pro gay. I understand it was always an empty gesture, but it mattered in a sense of knowing how socially acceptable being queer is. If that makes sense.
In Pride month, I think it's important to remind you of this iconic dialogue. You don't have to talk about who you are if you don't want toā¤ļø
A girl can be a handsome fella. This is obvious
when youāre a gay lion and you accidentally tried to introduce your lesbian lioness friend to one of her own exes at a gay bar and she goes into the bathroom and bitches you out for not being able to tell her endlessly rotating cast of girlfriends apart which isnāt really fair because first of all they all keep dyeing their hair different colors and second of all she keeps getting back together with different ones at different times and meanwhile youāve beenĀ āsingleā for like 8 months but are spending a lot of time with one specific guy who works at your old co-op and were going to excitedly tell her about it tonight but now youāve ruined the whole subject of dating by trying to introduce her to her own ex at a gay bar (which is a watering hole. because youāre lions.)Ā
here's where to find it on windows 10
Ugh, it was in mine. It's off now.
IT GETS WORSE
I had to turn this off, but it's something that allows Windows and anyone using your device to generate text/images.

I feel like I need to share this because idk if Europeans are familiar with the presence of Aldi in the US, but at least especially in my area theyāve been growing a lot recently. Like Aldi bought out some local failing grocery chains where I live (Louisiana) and have opened Aldis in all these somewhat rural communities and small towns, which for the record Iām fine with
But as a result of this they are advertising a lot more in my area and also in many cases, the people in these areas have never been confronted with Aldi or any European grocery store. So the ads that Aldi is pushing out to its new US customer base feature a cowboy shopping at Aldi who is explaining to new Aldi customers how Aldi works. Like this cowboy is explaining you gotta put a quarter in the shopping cart and why there are very little name brands. A cowboy is how they want to reach their American customer base. They gave us a cowboy
Here he is, the Aldi Cowboy
list of queer historical figures in roughly the right order because i'm bored
this is gonna be a long ass list SO. get ready gays.
the genderqueer priests of Ishtar, the Mesopotamian goddess of love and war, 'neither male nor female.'
Sappho, the poet after whose home lesbians take their name.
Alexander the Great, who was only ever defeated by 'Hephaestion's (his Very Good Male Friend) thighs' hmm..that's kinda gay
Leonardo da Vinci, living and working alongside his male lovers.
Chevalier d'Eon, who lived the first half of their life male and the second half female.
Oscar Wilde, who went to Walt Whitman's house (in the years when Whitman was writing poetry about sticking his tongue down other men's shirts) and stayed there for several hours. What Could They Possibly Have Been Doing.
Alan Turing, cracker of the Enigma machine, who I will always believe would be thrilled to know that the computer, which he fathered, remains a safe space for so many queer people today.
Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, iconic trans and gay liberation activists of colour who were there from the very beginning of what we call 'modern queer history,' the Stonewall Riot.
Storme DeLarverie, a butch lesbian whose physical altercation with authorities is the legendary beginning of the Stonewall Riot.
Sally Ride, the first American woman in space, who lived most of her life with her female partner; this was unfortunately only made public after her death.
we have always been here. we will CONTINUE to be here.
no one can silence us.
Can I add some?
Sir John Clanvowe and Sir William Neville were English knights who served Edward III and Richard II in the 14th century. They were incredibly close and died within days of each other while on pilgrimage in what is now Turkey. Theyāre buried together. Their tomb is in a mosque that used to be a church and the sign on it calls it āthe tomb of an English couple.ā The tomb shows their coats of arms impaled (something women did with their arms and their husbandsā). Clanvowe and Neville were both faithful Christians and have been associated with the Lollard movement. The way the tomb is configured suggests some kind of symbolic marriage between them. Oh to be a loyal gay knight, buried beside my husband.
King Richard II of England was bisexual. He was deeply in love with his wife, Anne of Bohemia, and had a male favorite, Robert de Vere, who was clearly his boyfriendā thereās a letter from Richard to Robert where he expresses his desire to live and die with him. He was also just as nuts about his wife Anne. Depictions of him show an almost androgynous pretty man. Part of what caused his reign to be so troubled was his queerness, with people thinking the men he liked, like Robert, misled him. His queerness is portrayed in Shakespeareās Richard II and heās a queer icon among Shakespeare and Middle Ages fans online. We stan a bisexual literal king.
John/Eleanor Rykener was a sex worker in medieval England, at the same time Richard was king. We know of them through a report of their arrest. They presented as both male (their gender assigned at birth) and female, and serviced both men and women. We donāt know specifically what their identity was, if they were a trans woman or nonbinary or perhaps bigender, but we know they were there.
Leonardo da Vinciās partner was his assistant Gian Giacomo Caprotti, better known by the nickname Salai (ālittle devilā). Salai would live with Leonardo for nearly 30 years. His name appears more than anyone elseās in Leonardoās notes and Leonardo drew him many times. He was the model for Leonardoās John the Baptist, and the erotic drawing often called the Angel Incarnate. The Angel is interesting because it emphasizes Salaiās androgyny. Androgyny was one of Leonardoās favorite themes to explore in his art (seriously, look at his angels like in The Virgin of the Rocks) and itās so cool Leonardo depicted Salaiās androgynous features with so much love.
Michelangelo, the Renaissance artist, who besides expressing his love of male beauty in his visual art wrote the first substantial modern collection of poetry by a man about his love for another man. The recipient of his love was a Roman nobleman named Tommaso dei Cavalieri, who would be his friend/kind of boyfriend for life. Michelangelo was a devout Christian and struggled with his queerness in a homophobic culture, and appears to have kept himself celibate for most of his life because of this. He should totally be an icon for queer Christians, he put so much of his love for men into his love for God. While he was definitely gay, he also had a deep friendship with Vittoria Colonna, and their relationship could be interpreted as a queerplatonic relationship.
Albert Cashier, transgender soldier in the Union Army during the American Civil War. Albert lived as a man both before and after the war and was beloved by his comrades. When he was outed in his old age and the government tried to take his pension away (because he was born female), his old army buddies actually insisted Albert was a guy and their fellow soldier. Jenny Hodges? Never heard of her, this is our old pal Albert. Thereās a musical about him, The Civility of Albert Cashier.
Alan L. Hart was a physician and researcher specializing in radiation and tuberculosis, he pioneered the use of X-rays to identify tuberculosis. He was one of the first trans men to receive a hysterectomy. Thereās a lot of controversy over if Hart was a transgender man or a lesbian who posed as a man. However, the facts that he underwent gender-affirming surgery, legally changed his name, and lived as a man for most of his life should prove he was a man, thatās a lot of effort to blend in so you can be a lesbian. Transmasc erasure is unfortunately pretty common in history, but we should remember the man who saved countless lives while living his own true life.
