As the lotus rises on its stalk unsoiled by the mud and water, so the wise one speaks of peace and is unstained by the opinions of the 🌎. Y'all this challenge has been utterly epic 💛 this is also the first time I've ever done this pose!! Usually arm balances are harder for me (my legs have always been much stronger than my arms) today I took #agnistambhasana or #doublepigeon to open up my hips and then I just had to trust myself. If arm balances are hard for you here are the things that helped me today: breath (focus on your breath it will help keep you calm and not focus on smashing your face in to the floor 😂) also engage that back leg! I can't even believe this is my body 😳 I did a super gentle stretchy flow for 30 minutes today and then I decided to give day 2 of #newyearasanas a try I had never done #fallendancer before and when I saw it I was like well there's no way I'm going to get into this but ill give it a shot so I tried with a strap and was surprised by how much deeper I went than I thought so I tried to do it without the strap and TADAAAAAA 🎉🎊🦄 This practice never ceases to amaze me 🙏 thanks guys for hosting this awesome challenge 💛 @sdharamr @yoginiinheels @kellymarie_yoga & the lovely @aloyoga
