I think that Parasite Eve is multiple people talking about Eve, and their distaste for her, but only the female part being Eve. Let me explain!!
“I’ve got a fever don’t breathe on me/ I’m a believer in nobody/ won’t let me leave cause I’ve seen something/ don’t let me sneeze hope I don’t (achoo)” sounds awfully like a certain character who was infected (Scott!!!) this part shows what’s happening to his body/him as a synth in a lab. This is probably him after becoming Syko. “Won’t let me leave cause I’ve seen something” indicates Eve isn’t letting him out, he can’t escape her. Showing the general negativity everybody seems to have around her.
The next verse “really we just need to fear something/ only pretending to feel something/ I know you’re dying to run/ I wanna turn you around” makes me think that it’s Strassman here. He knows she’s unsafe, something to fear. He knows she isn’t real, that she “feels” but doesn’t actually feel which to him proves her inhumanity perhaps? “I know you’re dying to run” makes me think he’s aware of her craving for power, and authority and the “I wanna turn you around” may be him contemplating confronting her.
The female part I don’t think needs much of an explanation, it’s Eve probably talking to the masses. Then in the main chorus “it’s the parasite Eve” one word sticks out to me. PARASITE! She is a parasite to them. She snuck her way up to the top, she used people, manipulated, groomed, harmed, abused, and killed people for power. What do parasites do? They use whatever they’ve latched onto for power, for life. That’s exactly what Eve does. She uses humans in youtopia as batteries for life, she used NexGen and the people in NexGen for power. She is a parasite.
Then the next verse starts “I heard they need better signal/ put chips and pins in the needles/ quarantine all of those secrets in that black hole you call a brain before it’s to late” this verse sounds like Selene to me. The rebellious nature of it, even the way Oli sings/speaks the verse in the song screams authority hating, rebellious teenager. This verse also aligns with Selene in lots of ways. Especially that last line, it screams her. She states her diary that she overthinks, which indicates maybe a form of anxiety (which is maybe why she smokes.) the verse “put chips and pins in the needles” sounds similar to the saying “walking on pins and needles” maybe that’s how she feels around Eve. She’s also aware of all the secrets Eve hides for NexGen, of all the things she does for NexGen and herself. Selene knows that NexGen isn’t what they say they are. Which goes with the last line.
The next verse I think is once again Strassman, this time it’s slightly different though. “Really we just wanna scream something/ only pretend to believe something/ I know you’re baying for blood/ I wanna turn you around.” I think this verse shows his desperation, he wants to scream that Eve is wrong, that she wasn’t made for this but can’t. She’s above him. He’s only pretending to agree, to believe with what she’s doing because what else can he do? The only way out is death. He knows she’s evil, he knows how far she’s willing to go, he knows she’s “baying for blood” and he wants to stop her, but he knows there’s no way he can.
“You can board up your windows/ you can lock up your doors/ but you can’t keep washing your hands off the shit anymore/ when all the kings horses and all the kings friends/ can’t tell their arses from their pathogens/ when life is a prison and death is a door/ this ain’t a warning/ this is a war” I think is Syko, not Scott just becoming Syko, Syko. He’s been through experiments, he’s been traumatized, and he’s angry. This entire verse shows his anger, his hurt, all of it directed at Eve. “You can board up your windows/ you can lock up your doors” shows that he has tried to hide, he has tried to escape but she found him anyways. “but you can’t keep washing your hands off the shit anymore” is him saying to Eve that she can’t keep covering up everything she’s done, she will be found out. Nothing ever stays a secret. “when all the kings horses and all the kings friends/ can’t tell their arses from their pathogens” is Syko saying that Eve is going to fall. It’s an obvious reference to Humpty Dumpty. The story is about a king’s favorite egg who sat on a wall and fell down. Everybody tried to patch him up, put him together to make sure the king won’t be upset but nothing worked, and Humpty died. The lyric is telling Eve that when she falls she won’t be fixed, nobody can save her when people realizes what she’s done. Even if she’s NexGen’s secret weapon, she’s not gonna make it out when people discover everything. “when life is a prison and death is a door” is Syko talking about going from being dead to a synth isn’t natural to him. He probably isn’t comfortable in this new body. Death was his escape from VSPR-37, now he’s alive again but only as a test subject. He’s trapped. He probably wishes he stayed dead. “This ain’t a warning/ this is a war” is him repeating her words but changing the meaning. Syko is warning the listener that EVE ISN'T GOOD!! She never was, never will be.
That’s all for now, thank you for taking the time to read this, I tried to water it down as much as I could. I love you all!!!
I think that Lost may be Scott, and this isn’t original but the circumstances may be? Hear me out.
It’s a pretty popular theory that Lost is Syko, and another popular theory that Syko is just Scott as a synth, I believe that Lost is showing Scott immediately after becoming Syko.
The music video begins showing Scott waking and the scientists reactions being “He’s alive!” It’s a pretty obvious reference to Frankenstein’s Monster. This book is about a man who created a nameless monster out of human body parts, which became a living sentient being. This creature was then severely neglected, and became a monster due to trauma. Frankensteins monster is also (technically) a zombie, which could reference Scott being a voidling, and now a living being out of many (likely non human) body parts. Syko then begins attacking the scientists, probably self defense. However, if he JUST woke up from attacking Selene, being a blood thirsty voiding wouldn’t he still be in that mindset? He’d still be disoriented, confused, and remembering his last actions before death and resurrection. He then runs away from the scientists and begins looking around the NexGen lab.
He finds a lot of oddities around the lab, finding a man who seems to be some form of voidling in the elevator, the two nurses and the man, and the many clearly drugged patients in the halls. He finds himself confused, scared, and in hiding in the lab. Constantly running into something new, that he likely didn’t know was possible. We see during the first main chorus people taking pills, which is likely p.u.s.s.-e which we could use to connect this song to Selene, and Selene to Scott, back to Syko. This also shows that yes, this is a NexGen lab, and that this is perhaps the same one Selene is in?
We also see the autopsy part in the music video, which could be reference to the fact Scott was dead, and is now alive. Then we see him pulling all the bodies of himself out of the morgue, this could be because Scott was a trail and error project. Perhaps the Syko in this music video isn’t the first one? Scott was already dead, and as far as NexGen cared he could stay dead. Unlike Rebecca he didn’t have a purpose like publicity, unlike Skys he didn’t have a purpose like power, unlike Strassman he didn’t have a purpose like knowledge, he was just a teenage boy. He could have been made a synth over and over again until perfect.
Now, the reason I’ve never posted about this theory is purely due to the end of the music video- because WHAT THE FUCK? No way can that tie into Scott, and so it actually lead me to believe this was Skys at first (which I will post this theory later dw) however I do think this can tie into Scott and here’s why. Selene and Scott could have been apart of the KINGSLAYER or projects. If this is true, then they could have been monitored to see is they were gaining powers at all, or they were planning on letting them get to a certain age to force powers into them. What if that’s what this is tying into? Likelihood is low, and I’d like for somebody to either argue me on that, or maybe make their own theory around this because I’m not to sure.
Now for lyrics, because while I think we all know how the lyrics are apart of this I want to put my own words and thoughts into it as well.
The lines that stick out to me the most are “Why am I this way?” “What the hell is fucking wrong with me?” “I’m so terribly lost” because if you woke up in a robotic synthetic version of yourself you’d know. You’d be able to tell the difference, you would be scared, confused, Lost. You’d wonder what’s different, or if you are even the same person as before. That would be utterly terrifying and I think the lyrics show his fear after becoming a synth.

I HAVE SOLVED THE LARGEST DELIMA OF THE ARG!
Was Victor Carmine ever a baddie? The answer may seem to be no- because look at this critter.
That’s not my definition of attractive. However I can prove that he was at one point very attractive, dare I say- a hottie.
Victor’s daughter is Medea, who is an attractive character, especially considering her entire job was to seduce Skys she has to be. Medea succeeds in seducing Skys and has children with him, and one member of their lineage could be Selene, another canonically attractive character. Using two characters who may be related to Selene we can deduct whose qualities in hers are whose. For example, Skys has a short buzz cut, which can eliminate a positive hair gene, Medea has long and thick hair, Selene has long and thick hair. So we can assume that the hair gene comes from Medea. This would mean that Medea had to get it from someone. Excluding the mother figure, as we have none our only possible source is Victor. We can use this for all of Medea and Selene to prove that yes, Victor Carmine is a baddie hottie smoking man.

Strassman is alive, and behind the arg.
(This is a theory, and cannot be confirmed at this time. This theory may tamper with the timeline, and character stories.)
This theory includes multiple theories in one, but I’ve been cooking it up in my head, so I’m going to start one theory at a time to explain.
After Strassman’s death Eve would have been alone without him, of course that may not have bothered her. Though, I doubt she’d have the same respect as Strassman, the years of work, the knowledge, and first hand experiences, and the morality. She’s an AI, so she’d be incredibly smart. Especially considering how the ARG says she is ran and how she gains info. Though, if she didn’t need Strassman in the first place she would have probably got rid of him as soon as he started questioning, she would have sensed his growing dislike for the project. By the time he was questioning her she probably already knew that he wasn’t fully on board, but she needed him for something. So I highly doubt after his death she’d just let him escape like that, perhaps she’d turn him into a synth? She clearly needs him, somehow, she relies on Karl.
When Selene abandoned Sof it implies she left almost everything she had with her. This leads me to wonder how is she updating the ARG? We could argue the updates aren’t canon, and that it’s all always been there- but that wouldn’t make sense to me. I think somebody is updating Sof’s computer, and probably not Selene. If she’s too busy for Sof then wouldn’t she be too busy for updating the computer? For creating puzzles? Making all the passwords, and codes? She most likely wouldn’t have time for this. We also know from her diary that she didn’t exactly take school very seriously. Somebody with a low attention span, who didn’t care for learning wouldn’t make puzzles that complex. However, Karl could. He’d be able to without much energy put into it. Especially considering the way the puzzles were made, they all seem to be created from another perspective other than Selene’s. They would fit much better in a perspective of somebody like Karl. He’d also have more access to the information on the computer. I doubt Selene would have been allowed half of the information, and probably ran away from NexGen to escape abuse, and potentially Sof being abused (plus whatever the alarm being set off meant) but she likely didn’t know everything on that computer. Some of it is stuff only the higher ups would have access too, but not the patients. Strassman was a higher up, especially if he was working closely with Eve. He’d have access to all the information on the computer and more.
But why would Strassman do this? I’ve said this multiple times before in my other posts and theories but Strassman likely viewed Selene as a daughter, or second chance to save people. Sof could be an extension. He could have put the puzzles on the computer for Selene and helped her escape and deliver, then leave to NexGen again. Then from NexGen any new or old information he has access to he could update onto the computer for Sof. But why all the puzzles then? Of course it would be half Selene’s reason of wanting Sof to be 100% sure about knowing all this- but maybe also to make sure Sof isn’t stupid. Selene fell for Eve, she was easily groomed and went through with the Youtopia project, the only thing that made her leave was her complete breaking point. Angel died early before she could ever learn anything, and Strassman himself was blind to the truth of what he was doing. He doesn’t want Sof to be unable to think for themselves. He wants them to have critical thinking, cognitive abilities, improved memory, attention to detail, and problem solving abilities, as well as the information about the world around them. This could be why the puzzles are so complex.
Of course this could clash with timeline, and the theory can evolve the more I look into it, but this is what I have so far. Opinions?
TW! Gr00ming, Drugs
So I think the blend from Youtopia and Koolaid shows a connection of some type. Youtopia being Selene’s perspective of the situation she’s in, and koolaid being EVE’s and Strassman’s.
Selene was a minor, like she can’t consent to what she was going through even if she said yes it still isn’t real consent, and so some form of gr**ming had to take place to achieve this. And a lot of lyrics show this, “Nobody loves you like I love you, oh my dear” probably EVE due to her empathy. “Come here and give me a hug” Lyrics like that. As well as “I got my hands around your throat, I love the way you choke, I am yours, and you are mine, I’ll never let you go”. All of them show gr**ming. I think that EVE used her empathy, and that Selene didn’t have a good at home life (her stating that she’s scared her mom will get back on some form of drugs in her diary) against Selene.
Strassman was in a bad place mentally, he had lost his daughter, wife, best friend, and all that was left of Dallus was EVE he was probably very prone to trusting her. Plus, Genxsis, Selene’s testing, and Youtopia probably gave him the familiarity of Mantra, something he missed. He probably viewed Selene as some type of due-over from both project KINGSLAYER and his daughter, So without realizing helped the gr**ming process.

SEE YA SOON! (•̀ᴗ•́)و
I’ve been wondering if the song Die4U is Strassman, Dallus, or Skys- (or all three) mostly due to the lyrics “this isn’t love, this is a car crash” for Dallus, “this isn’t love, this is a blood bath” for Skys, and “This isn’t love this is a bullet in the head” for Strassman so I’m gonna rant about my current song theory for it bc it has changed
Here’s my biggest idea of what it may be- Strassman
The song may be about his love for Angel and Ava. They are in a way holding him back, and I’m sure that he was probably angry at their situation. “You know your everything I hate, wish I could replace, and I don’t wanna die4U” being a pretty good example of maybe his hatred towards both their situation and maybe a little bit them. Though at the end of the day he still loves the family. I think the first half is when they are still alive, and the second half when it starts getting a little violent with the lyrics they’ve passed away.
My least favorite option is Skys
It may be for his feelings towards Medea, he probably found out she was a spy by the time of the “funeral” which is why he did what he did to her. It could explain the violent lyrics- because he’s pissed off at her, but at the same time that’s the woman he’s built a life with, and probably one of the few people he felt genuinely loved by.
Lastly it may be Dallus. (Don’t cry)
I think the song may take place immediately after the wreck that killed his daughter and wife. The lyrics could be both him promising to take care of and die for his only surviving family member and him mourning his family. “This isn’t love, this is a car crash” “this isn’t love, this is a sentence” “I keep holding my breath for a miracle, hoping the hole in my chest would heal somehow” all show grief and heartbreak, which he’d definitely feel.
I think the most likely is Strassman and Dallus’s, Skys is a bit of a stretch, but I think this song is probably connected to Mantra in some way.
