1. What’s your favourite memory of the past year?
During finals week, I got out of my house with a group of my friends and went for lunch. That was great. Pizza and ice cream and LOTS of random talking. (Close second is finally hearing my best friend speak Russian in casual conversation, and realizing how AWESOME it sounds.)
2. What’s your least favourite memory of the past year?
Uuuugh... I broke up with my boyfriend in March, and it was really bad. He hasn't talked to me since, which I understand but wish was different, and I'm just hoping he can understand why I did.
3. What’s your guiltiest pleasure?
Hehehe... um... that MIGHT have to be pop music. Because I didn't like a bunch of it before it started changing, so I told people I disliked it, and no one's asked me since then if I do... and there's a LOT of it I like. Which is weird, because my musical tastes are mostly in the a cappella/rock range.
4. What’s something you would change about yourself?
Funnily enough, it's actually a trait I would emphasize. I have two differently colored eyes, but it's not always obvious, so I'd make it a lot more obvious.
5. If you were given £100,000 to spend, how would you spend it? (THE CATCH: You have to spend it within the 24 hour period that elapses from the moment you receive the money)
Um... well, I'll assume I get the equivalent in my own country's cash, but to go on from there... 50% to charity (don't ask what specifically, because I don't know), share most of the rest of it among my friends, buy tickets to any cons coming up and any movie tickets that are out now. Oh, and probably a new computer. Because new computer.
6. Would you travel to outer space or the depths of the ocean, and why?
Depths of the ocean. I have mild proprioceptive dysfunction, which means that I don't always know where my limbs are if I don't have sensory input from them or am not looking at them. Space would be SO disorienting.
7. Mac or PC?
Currently using a Mac, but I'd actually prefer a PC because gaming.
8. How addicted to Tumblr are you?
I... hope not very? I mean, it's sad when I don't have it, but I don't really... CARE. It's a thing that entertains me. But not a necessary part of my life.
9. Do you think motivational quotes and all of that kind of stuff is a load of rubbish, or are you secretly quite inspired and buoyed up by some of it?
I guess SOME of it. I don't like most of it, but some of it tends to help a lot.
10. If you could only eat five foods for the rest of your life (assuming they contain everything you need to survive and be healthy), what would they be?
JEGUS. Shoot me in the heart, why don't you. Um, let's see... Fish (specifically salmon if you need that amount of specificity), spinach, mac & cheese, oatmeal, and... pie. Yeah. Pie.
11. What’s your favourite book and why?
Uuuugh, that's like forcing a mother to pick a favorite CHILD. Jegus. Difficult questions. I might have to say it's J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. That book never fails to make me cry. His descriptions are the most beautiful thing I have ever read, and because I play a "movie" in my head when I read a book, it really helps that he is so good with words and vivid descriptions.
