Wow. Just wow. This chart blew me away instantly. The hold notes go above and beyond for a Hard chart. Here’s some of my favorites.
I mean look at those shapes. In a Hard chart? Fuck yes.
I’m also a big fan of this part. The way your fingers move mimics the echo/repetition in the song, it’s such a good point of connection between the chart and the music. Impeccable use of the medium here. 5/5 +1 for Exceptionality
Interest
Another pretty normal area. 2/3

I really like these notes crossing the play field. Putting a gap in between the left hand notes and right hand notes is a clever way to lead the player into the intended movement, and skipping across the play field like that is quite enjoyable. 4/5
Medium
This chart isn’t as shockingly good as the Hard chart, but the strong suits carry over. Namely those kickass hold notes.
I didn’t mention this before, but in all three charts the angular shape of the hold notes matches the sharp, harsh tones in the song. 4/5
Interest
Nothing of note here, just a solid chart holding my attention a normal amount. 2/3
Overcharting
God this breaks my heart to say because I love the pattern so much but this just doesn’t have a place here. I can’t find it anywhere in the song and it doesn’t reflect a later or earlier moment. Not to mention that it diminishes the echoing effect that the Hard chart had for this part. -1 I’m so sad

I love the directional flicks in this song. It’s a sentence I never thought I’d ever say but man, when you hit those flicks in the right direction it just flows in such a fun way, it’s awesome. The charters knew what they were doing here.
I’d also like to mention this part. It’s lovely. The end of the hold note leads so effortlessly into a pattern that is so fun to play (and arguably one of my favorites). 5/5
Medium
Yet again, the hold notes in this chart are simply stunning.
Not to mention this part in the intro.
I’m such a big fan of when the end of a hold note is incorporated into the rhythm. Unfortunately my gameplay here doesn’t do it justice, so I recommend checking it out on autoplay or looking up an all perfect run. 4/5
Interest
This one is just captivating. 3/3
Overcharting
Augh, the pain in my heart. It’s the exact same bit as the Expert chart. Devastating. -1

NEXT NEST has a wonderful set of charts and is such a breath of fresh air after the disappointment of Tell Your World. I’m so glad this was the followup because wow. I’m immensely pleased.
Next up: Melt
