My 1962 Mix for Seattle Center's 50th Anniversary
Here's what will be playing in the International Fountain and in the Center House at Seattle Center staring tomorrow April 21, 2012 and continuing for a week. 50 tracks that were in play in 1962. Nothing after '62 allowed, no '63 Louie Louie, no '64 asking for more & no driving at '65.
Just sounds of 1962 and a couple of years preceding with a little extra focus on artists with ties to Seattle such as The Ventures, Ray Charles & The Wailers. And focus also on artists who came to the 1962 world's fair in Seattle, IE Elvis Presley, Harry Belafonte, Chubby Checker, Little Eva. And as always the music selected is music that I think will sound cool and make an inviting atmosphere in the International Fountain. [BTW: my 2012 Mix or Future Mix is going to play after this mix runs its course, more on that soon.]
