It’s almost cruel, isn’t it? To lose your first love? Because one moment all you need to do for your heart to race and your palms to sweat is to look at them. Then, when they look back at you the sun shines brighter and the earth turns faster. Within seemingly the next moment you can only squeeze your eyes shut and try desperately to grasp at memories of the face you once had memorized. Now, with thoughts of them your heart no longer races, but it aches. Your palms no longer sweat with nerves, your tears just spill from grief, and it’s almost cruel, isn’t it?
