I am sad to announce Shirogane has died.
He had an accident during netting while I was trying to treat him for fin rot. Scales got knocked off and they just... Never grew back. And the fin rot was becoming worse and harder to treat and eventually it stopped responding to treatment entirely. He fought his ailment for 2 months before succumbing to it. I will miss the little nugget... He was a good fishy...
In light of this, I made a friend at Walmart. I’m trying to get the bettas at my workplace the better treatment they need. Many are are being abused. An issue that is currently being looked into by my boss. I’ve already had to separate bettas in 2 separate incidents where some sick fuck put them in the same cup. This guy... Neyran... Kept coming up to me in his little cup.
And we connected. He is safe with me now.
