To my fellow NF (Idealist) types
Do you agree with online descriptions that NF types seek the “perfect soulmate”? This has always confused me a little, especially when reading about my own type. I’ve always been a lover of literature and romance, but the line between reality and fiction has always been firmly drawn in my mind.
Even though I’ve had a lot of crushes, being in a relationship and finding a so-called soulmate is very low on my list of priorities.
I am in a relationship (with a darling INFP) but I’m quite undemanding. I enjoy the little things. I enjoy our mutual support and understanding. I know who she is and she knows who I am, and we do the best we can for each other. We don’t need idealistic visions when we already have each other.
That’s just my experience, though. What do y’all think?
Hello, NF bloggers.
I’m the admin for this blog and I’m looking for some new moderators. We could really use an ENFJ and some INFPs or INFJs. We don’t have an ENFJ and we get a lot of INF questions that I cannot answer.
Please message on this blog or qrayson w/ your MBTI type and I will choose new moderators in a few days!
TIA, Katey
"INFP’s look at humanity at both the individual (human-to-human) and societal levels. One common discouragement for INFP’s is that societal change often seems impossible. When INFPs become discouraged, they may need some time and space to rediscover their values and a sense of inner peace. The conflict between their ideal world and "reality", as they see it can cause depression or withdrawal from the world unless they have people that support them in their projects."
A bit more on the "Idealists", NF types. I find this to be interesting because I do have the tendency to overstate and speak in a way the author describes. I'm aware of it but it's difficult to stop. I'm also observant of other's body language, voice inflections, etc when they speak to me and in some way after a certain amount of time I'm able to pick up on a lot about what they're feeling and why they're feeling it. Anyway if you're interested I got the pdf of this from here. It has a lot more on other MBTI personality types and a lot more info that you don't see on the internet. It's interesting.
