Si, Ni, and mis-perceiving

I had these thoughts about Si, Ni, and subjective vs. objective functions and I wanted to share them. Maybe youāve already said similar things, but this just helped it make sense to me.
It started when I remembered this post comparing ISFJs and ISFPs. You talk about how Sansa Stark saw Joffrey as she wanted to see him, as her perfect prince, while Arya objectively (through Te/Se) saw how awful he was.
You talk about it again here and here, Si-doms view the world through personal mythologies.
āSansa is incredibly naive when she starts out, because she is predominantly judging reality through her own subjective, nuanced, abstract, personal mythology ā through her Si.Ā ā¦The idea that Si-doms are realists is not accurate; we are sensory-aware, but shifting reality into what we WANT IT TO BE, and what FITS OUR PERSONAL MYTHOLOGY, rather than seeing it as it truly is. It goes beyond tradition, or routine, or wanting sameness, to a perception of reality colored by our subjective, abstract impressions. ā¦ā
Then, I started thinking about if this is true for Ni, because Si and Ni act alike in a lot of ways. Se makes it objective about sensory reality, but when it comes to symbols and ideas, Ni-doms see what they want to see/ believe what they want to believe as much as Si.
A Ni-dom will say x represents y, because thatās what it represents to them. Whereas Ne, the objective function, says x could represent y, or it could represent w, x or z. Youāve mentioned an INFJ who sees Elsa from Frozen as an INFJ because Elsa represents to them what is is like to be an INFJ, even though the functions make no sense, even though she could represent depression, or eating disorders, or repressed homosexuality, or any other sort of alienating condition.
Ni-doms also overlay their vision for the future over their personal experiences, they way Si-doms overlay that past. They look at things by how they affect their vision, whether its a vision of their personal future or the big picture, the good of the kingdom, and they donāt have Neās way of easily seeing multiple outcomes.
This all led to the conclusion that IJs, because theyāre led first by their introverted perceiving function (Si or Ni), and their external, objective perceiving function is inferior, are more likely to deceive themselves, that is to see things as they want them to be not as they actually are.
Si-doms view the past and the sensory realm through a personalized lense, or their āpersonal mythologiesā.
Ni-doms have subjective views about symbols and the future.
They can still achieve objectivity through their other functions: Ne sees other possibilities and can weigh them all equally, Se sees the sensory world as it really is, and either Te or Fe helps.
Obviously any type can be deceived, but this problem is most apparent in IJs (IJs will struggle with it more), because their introverted perceiving function is overlaying any other function, and their external (objective) perceiving function is inferior.
I guess this can help with typing, especially when you see a character acting based on perceiving the world in a way that is contrary to reality. I donāt know if this could also be true of IPs, since Fi and Ti are also subjective functions?
Editorās Note: all the introverts have the capability of believing in something that is contrary to reality, because they are separate from it and perceiving the world through an irrational (subjective) function. Also, in keeping with this contrast and the Sansa connection, notice how Margaery has no delusions about Joffrey (social extrovert, led by an extroverted judging function) whereas Littlefingerās fanatical obsession with Catelyn Stark also makes him somewhat detached from reality (SHE NEVER WANTED YOU).
