Hello! Idk if you remember but I sent an ask a while ago (around October?) talking about a not exactly a hero au I came up with. Well, I'm finally getting around to writing!!! I'm still working on it, but here is a little snippet if your interested :3c

“What are you doing?!” Chris asked. Riley laughed.

“Easy. Taking you hostage!” He exclaimed. Chris pulled Riley towards him.

“Actually, I’m taking you hostage.” Chris replied. Riley smiled, he was curious to see where this was going. The two started a dance. Each trying to pull away from the other, and trying to pull the other closer at the same time. They spun around in the flames, each taking careful steps. The fire kept growing, but neither paid attention to it. They danced around it, with it, past it, into it…

The flames moved with them. Swaying back and forth, playing along with the dance. Riley enjoyed it and embraced it. Chris played along with it, trying to lead them out of the flames. They always had one hand on the other.

“What happened to you?” Chris asked. Riley laughed, and tried to dodge the question by spinning the two around.

“Riley!” Chris yelled, getting dizzy.

“Yes, my prince? What do you need?” Riley asked in a teasing manner. Chris rolled his eyes.

The only reason my Riley might do that is if he were trying to bargain an escape or something similar

Bonus lore snippet of my AU

Riley and Chris become sort of friends while Riley was in his civilian 'disguise' which is literally just him not hiding his identity

Chief starts getting suspicious when Chris mentions that Riley, this civilian, seems to know a little too much about SMAK and how to counter them for both their comfort so Chris gets a minor mission to figure out things about Riley

And that's where things start going...a little crazy
