Okay, so I need to address the elephant in the room.
There's a reason I posted that last thing. I don't like being on any side of controversial discussions like this, and I'd rather leave the first post separate from this.
Okay, so why am I saying this right now, at a time like this? When a good chunk of the internet is bashing on NFTs and their entire purpose? Well...as it turns out, I don't quite get the point of paywalling worthless pixels. We're seeing the image already so what's the point of it?
If we see a meme we like or a piece of art that we think is really cute or cool or interesting, we're supposed to copy it and pass it around to increase exposure to the artist, right? Of course, we want to include the watermark or give credit where due, so...shrug.
I'm not going to relentlessly bash on things I don't understand, as I don't have a proper handle on the bull I would be riding, but I suppose, my argument is that it's practically pointless to prevent the copying of an image when there are always two or three workarounds to it. You lot know the cheat codes to these things, and I've got no other words to add to the issue.
