For my #tiuM2 today, I had the Matcha Protein Bites. I replaced the cashew butter in the original recipe with almond butter. Almonds are seeds: less likely to cause acne. In addition, @_KimberlySnyder shared in her most recent vlog that almonds are one of the five foods for flawless skin. The @ToneItUpNutrition plan for the Bikini Series includes a lot of recipes with matcha. Matcha contains caffeine, but it also contains L-theanine, a relaxing amino acid. You can feel energetic and focused at the same time. I choose to use the #FourSigmatic Mushroom Matcha, because it has #LionsManeMushroom, #adaptogen astragalus to protect the body from occasional stress, and a hint of ginger to support digestion. ***** #MatchaProteinBites adapted from the #tiuBikiniSeries Meal Plan (2 bites per serving) Ingredients: 1 scoop vanilla @ToneItUp Protein; 1/3 cup @Justins #AlmondButter; 3 @ThriveMkt #MedjoolDates, pitted; 2 tsp. @FourSigmatic #MushroomMatcha powder; 1 tsp. @DrBronner coconut oil; ¼ cup #ThriveMarket unsweetened coconut flakes. Directions: 1. Reserve 1 tsp. of coconut flakes for topping. 2. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. 3. Roll 1 Tbsp. amounts into rounds. 4. Top with coconut flakes.
