Nick ngjenkins is moving in this weekend!
This post might be a little embarrassing for him because he follows me here, but... I really like Nick.
He and I have a lot in common which makes conversations easy, but also just enough differences in taste and experience to keep the conversations interesting.
He seems quiet enough, so sharing a house isn’t going to be a big deal.
He never makes me feel bad about loving some of the mainstream crap music I play, even though we discuss music at length, often (Nick was in radio for many years and is also a musician). And I’m almost always playing my music when people are over.
He’s also one of the few friends I have who cares about media quality and preservation almost as much as I do (ie compression artifacts, resolution and bit rate, for both music and video).
So yeah. In the past Kristen was usually better friends with our roommates (her and valerie2776 hung out all the time, her and matthewgaydos went out to games and the bar and stuff). I kinda feel like this time I’m getting the friend roommate. :)

40. Has there ever been a book you wish you could unread?
Oh dear God, yes. I wish I could unread Harry Potter and Persuasion and every Terry Pratchett book so that I could experience them for the first time all over again.
I also wish I could unread Lady Chatterley’s Lover because it was fucking terrible. Also the entire True Believers series by Erin McCarthy. I bought the whole lot for $7 on Kindle before I went to Europe last year and then had nothing else to read and OH MY GOD THEY WERE SO BAD. So. Fucking. Bad.

At the end of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, credits role for quite a while and behind the names of the amazing people who contributed to the film is the Marauder's Map with active footprints.
