i know everyone loves a tim drake pity party and the ghost of both Dickbin and Jason hung over Tim's head but to be clear Bruce saw Tim as his own person plenty, he paid attention to and cared for Tim all the time, the fics are nice but they are lying and exaggerating
#again it didn't not happen but it was occasional slip ups#“i wish he saw ME just once”#dude he did he kind of had to in fact Tim forcing Bruce to see him and acknowledge him is pretty important to the beginning of their relati#nship#in a very real way Tim's Robin is all about tiptoeing around and living up to a legacy#but not only is his individual relationship to bruce important to the both of them#tim isn't a little bird hung up on bruce's approval of him he either knows he has it or he's decided something else is more important#which i think is a more interesting depiction of the effects of the Drake's neglect AND something bruce himself deeply understands and can#connect too
