Academic articles used to be written with so much more pizzazz. I'm reading some old statistics papers that feature lines like:

"Yet this naked emperor has been shamelessley running around for a long time"

and

"... a potent but sterile intellectual rake who leaves in his merry path a long train of ravished maidens but no viable scientific offspring"

What in the world...😂 Not what I expected, that's for sure

In line with earlier research, we found that half of all published psychology papers that use NHST contained at least one p-value that was inconsistent with its test statistic and degrees of freedom. One in eight papers contained a grossly inconsistent p-value that may have affected the statistical conclusion.

So tonight was pretty awesome. The Seniors are finally heading out and it's bittersweet because idk what my life will be like a year from now. High school doesn't last forever so I hope that tonight a year from now it'll all be just as amazing as the last three years have been .
