I have ocd too. Mild, like Niall, but still. I'm a nurse and the first thing we do in the morning is the drug round. Every time I'm the one who has to do that, I spend at least 30minutes fixing the trolley, because I want all the boxes on the same side, the similar drugs together, the bottles on the left side and everything ordered for shape and drug category. My colleagues giggle and I usually joke on my ocd. But you know why I have to do that? Because I have anxiety if I don't respect my ticks
i hope you dont mind me publishing this, but i just think its so important to address. the severity of someones ticks due to their illnesses, isnt to be determined or deemed “good enough” or not by outsiders. it isnt up for anyone but the person dealing with them to decide that. and it just baffles me that, here we have niall, being open and candid with a subject that clearly he keeps close to him and that many of his fans can relate to/ help relate to him as a person, and there are ppl making fun/light of it! which is the very same thing they all accused him of doing over the years anytime he brought up his OCD tendencies.
i just dont understand this mission to put him down or to minimize the things in his life or that hes dealing with. i dont think its fair to him. i do hope hearing him open up about it a little has helped you feel a bit better about your own ticks!
