Cult of the Bones / Kult Kości - my master's thesis. (This is only a small part of the project!)

Each skull was sculpted manually (no slip casting etc) and decorated with various materials + decalcomania. The one at the bottom was partially hand-painted :) These skulls are only a portion of the project, other things include jewelry, posters, serigraphs and other sculptures.

I did it. After five years, i absolutely aced my thesis defense & i can taste freedom again (at least for a little bit!) It's been a wonderful trip and tbh i cant wait to go for a doctorate next! I dont wanna go off too much on the post itself but IF U CARE i will probably srb this and go off abt my defense & exhibition experience. I'll miss studying at Geppert's so fnk much.

Thank you so much nicadilly for letting me draw Cas! I must have redrawn so many sketches with her cause I really wanted it to look good! It was probably the best drawing practice I had in a while. I gotta say your fanart was the art that made me tilt my head at Valdemar and go “huh” and then become obsessed with them! Funnily enough, when the game came out when I was in middle school, I used to hate Valdemar with a passion! Over time I started to really like the courtiers, and then I found your art a year or so ago and was just… woah… “ówò Naturally Cas starting wiggling around in my brain too and I really wanted to draw her!! I know the clothes don’t look very good, I am sorry about that, but hopefully I will get better at those with practice. There is also a little Valdemar x mc art for any other mcs that come along, featuring a freshly bathed squeaky-clean-demar! I would like to keep drawing Cas, if that’s alright, whenever I have more time to draw!

I’ll be pretty busy for a bit, I’ve got classes, work, a TA position, I’m graduating, and I’m doing research with my professor in the lab… so like… I’m slammed! But I will make it one way or another and doodle when I can. Biology is hard, but if I just imagine Valdems studying… and doing research… and being best evil doctor ever… it makes life a lot easier… TwT

the vesuvian menace is all grown up, now with extra horse. Im still preparing stuff for the bio, but i really like how these turned out and decied to post early ;<;

its been a while since i got into the arcana and in that time Cas changed quite a bit, so i really wanted to make her sprite reflect that. Same pose, older bones, in her prime as the palace magician, NO MORE BABY APPRENTICE.

I can bearly believe i made her for the Muriel route 🐻 its all demon town now…

im cringing a bit but at the same time MY BABY (this is an outdated sprite btw)

not really used to doing public char bios, but arcana got it’s claws in me and i wanted to whip up something for my apprentice ;<; also Merlin is a shameless insert of my irl pet, noticed arcana devs do that so WHY THE HELL NOT.

I hope i can do some more Arcana/Cas-related stuff in the near future, like pics of how i imagine Hjalle, worldbuilding etc. but i need to catch up on my uni work for now, booooooo
